Captain Yadav further wrote, &#8220;The decision to resign was very difficult for me, as my family has had a 70-year-old connection with the Congress. My late father, Rao Abhay Singh, became an MLA from the Congress in 1952, and I continued the family tradition. However, after Sonia Gandhi stepped down as Congress President, I was mistreated, and my faith in the party&#8217;s high command was shaken.&#8221;

NTA&#39;s Notice: No Optional Questions in JEE Mains 2025, Know the Whole Matter

There is a big update regarding the JEE Mains exam. The National Testing Agency (NTA) has issued a notice regarding the JEE Mains 2025 exam. According to the notice, there will be no optional questions in Section B. Let us tell you that these optional questions were introduced during the Corona period. Now, students will not have the option to choose 10 out of 5 questions. Candidates will have to answer all the questions.



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">NTA Notice</h2>



NTA has written in the notice, &#8220;After the WHO declared the end of the public health emergency due to COVID-19 on May 5, 2023, it has been decided to discontinue the optional question selection.&#8221; The notice further states that the optional question was added as a modification during the pandemic and continued until 2024.



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">JEE Mains 2025 Exam</h2>



After the change made by NTA, now only 5 questions will be asked from each subject in Section B. Candidates will have to answer all 5 questions without any options for Paper 1 (BE/BTech). In such a situation, students will have to prepare for the exam in a new way. On one hand, NTA has issued a notice regarding optional questions, and on the other hand, students are waiting for the release of the date sheet.

In preparation for the Maharashtra Assembly Elections on November 20, Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Sanjay Raut announced on Friday that he plans to discuss seat-sharing arrangements with Rahul Gandhi for the Maha Vikas Aghadi alliance and noted that there were many seats on which decisions remained pending.



Raut Highlights Decision-Making Issues Sanjay Raut said that most of the leaders of Maharashtra are not capable of taking decisions and stated, &#8220;Congress, NCP and Shiv Sena are in the alliance, Samajwadi Party, Peasants and Workers Party of India (PWP) are also there. They have to send the list to Delhi again and again. Now that time has passed. We want this decision to be taken as soon as possible.&#8221;



Expediting Seat-Sharing Talks Addressing the media on seat-sharing among Maha Vikas Aghadi, Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Sanjay Raut said, &#8220;I have spoken to Mukul Wasnik in the morning. Today I will also speak to Rahul Gandhi and the pending decision regarding seat sharing will be expedited. Decisions have been taken on many seats. There are some seats on which a decision is not being taken.&#8221;



Resolving Disputes Within the Alliance Adding further, he said, &#8220;There is no major difference of opinion between NCP and Shiv Sena, not even in Congress, but there are some seats on which all three parties claim. Nana Patole is our ally in Maharashtra, but there is a problem on some seats, it will be resolved.&#8221;



Targeting the BJP&#8217;s Tactics The Shiv Sena (UBT) leader also attacked the BJP, stating, &#8220;People like me have gone to jail and come back; we know who the targets are and what the BJP will do.&#8221; Raut likened the BJP&#8217;s tactics to those of the &#8220;Bishnoi gang,&#8221; claiming they use agencies like the CBI and ED as weapons against their opponents.



Standing Firm Against Challenges Raut emphasised that despite facing such challenges, they remain resolute in standing up to the BJP.



Accusations Against the Election Commission The UBT Sena MP also took a dig at the Election Commission, claiming that they were biased. &#8220;The Election Commission has given some important decisions, and we feel that those decisions are against the interests of the Maha Vikas Aghadi, and will help Shinde and the BJP. The Election Commission and the Supreme Court are not neutral. They are the B, C and D teams of the BJP,&#8221; he said.

IDF said that dozens of terrorists were present in the compound during the attack, and they have published the names of 12 individuals. It is claimed that the terrorists were involved in planning and executing rocket attacks on Israeli territory, as well as attacks on IDF soldiers and Israel.



Gaza&#8217;s civil defence spokesperson, Mahmoud Basal, said in a statement on Thursday that the Israeli army is &#8220;systematically destroying&#8221; the Jabalia camp, using all means, including explosive robots, to evacuate the camp.



Medics told Xinhua News Agency that eight people were killed and dozens injured in an Israeli bombing of a house in the Al-Helou family in western Gaza City. Meanwhile, the Gaza civil defence authority said in a press statement on Thursday that their team recovered the bodies of six Palestinians killed in an airstrike in the Al-Fakhari area in southern Gaza.

New Income Tax Form: No TDS will be deducted from salary

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman announced in the budget for the financial year 2024-25 that Tax Deducted at Source (TDS) from salary will be adjusted against TDS and Tax Collected at Source (TCS) from other sources. Now, the Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) has launched a new form for this. This form is called Form 12BAA. This form will be used by employees to inform their employers about the tax deductions made from other sources apart from their salary. This will include information about fixed deposits, insurance commissions, dividends received from equity shares, and tax deducted on car or foreign currency purchases.



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Rules Changed</h2>



Companies usually deduct TDS from employees&#8217; salaries based on their declarations, taking into account investments and expenses. However, employers did not adjust the tax deducted from other sources on behalf of the employees. Now, with the launch of the 12BAA form by the CBDT, this will change.



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Beneficial For Employees</h2>



Through this new form, employees can provide information about TCS deposited and TDS deducted from other sources, thereby reducing the tax deduction from their salary. This step will help employees tackle cash flow problems and make better use of their income.



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">New Law Requirement</h2>



The new law requiring employers to be informed about TDS and TCS deducted from other sources has come into effect from October 1 this year. Employees can now inform their employers about TDS or TCS deducted from other income sources or big expenses. Earlier, there was no mechanism for employers to receive such information. Now, the new form launched by the department will help employees provide this information to their employers.

On Thursday night, during the distribution of sweets under the Sharad Purnima program of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) in Rajni Vihar, some youths were attacked with knives. Ten people were injured in the knife attack. As soon as the police received the information, they sent the injured to SMS Hospital, where their treatment was underway.



According to the information, RSS&#8217;s Sharad Purnima program was being organized in Rajni Vihar. During this, a youth attacked the people distributing sweets with a knife and threw the sweets, causing chaos in the program. Meanwhile, some people caught the attackers. After the incident, many people reached Karani Vihar police station demanding the arrest of the accused. Police said that Nasib Chaudhary and his son have been taken into custody and are being questioned.



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">BJP Leaders Reach Hospital</h2>



Minister Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore, MLA Gopal Sharma, and BJP leader Arun Chaturvedi reached SMS Hospital to meet the injured. Late at night, police deployed additional forces in the surrounding areas and started searching for other youths involved in the incident.

According to the police, all the injured are associated with the Jagdamba Nagar Hira Pura branch of RSS. The injured, Shankar Bagda, Murarilal, Ram Parik, Lakhan Singh Jadoun, Pushpendra, and Dinesh Sharma, are admitted to SMS Hospital. The remaining four injured have been sent to a nearby hospital. The injured said that the knife attack took place during the distribution of sweets. The accused threw the sweets and attacked.
