छिंदवाड़ा. जिला प्रशासन व टूरिज्म बोर्ड के संयुक्त प्रयासों से आयोजित तामिया एडवेंचर फेस्टिवल को देश भर के पर्यटकों से जबरदस्त रिस्पॉन्स मिला है। 


 सात दिन तक चले एडवेंचर फेस्टिवल में हजारों पर्यटकों ने शिरकत की और विभिन्न रोमांचकारी एक्टिविटी में भाग लिया। 

अब तक हुए सारे एडवेंचर फेस्टिवल में इस साल का आयोजन सबसे बेहतर साबित हुआ और रिकॉर्ड तोड़ पर्यटक तामिया फेस्टिवल में आए।

इस फेस्टिवल में सात दिन के दौरान 60 हजार से अधिक लोगों की आवाजाही बनी रही। 

तामिया एडवेंचर फेस्टिवल में सबसे ज्यादा आकर्षक का केंद्र पैरामोटर रहा। हवा में उडऩे का रोमांच चाहने वाले पर्यटकों ने इसका भरपूर फायदा लिया। 

नर्मदापुरम, बैतूल, नागपुर, अमरावती, वर्धा, सिवनी, मंडला सहित छिंदवाड़ा के पर्यटकों ने पैरामोटर मेंबैठकर उड़ान भरी। 

तामिया एडवेंचर में पातालकोट का खान-पान पर्यटकों को भा गया। यहां स्थानीय ग्रामीणों ने यहां व्यंजन के 25 से भी अधिक फूड स्टॉल लगाए थे। 

कलेक्टर समेत जुन्नारदेव एसडीएम कामिनी ठाकुर व अन्य अधिकारी प्रतिदिन मॉनिटरिंग करते नजर आए।

<p>Moderate fog is expected over most parts of Delhi today. Dense fog is likely in some areas. The minimum temperature may be around 6 degrees Celsius and the maximum temperature around 20 degrees Celsius. Light rain and strong winds are expected on 11 January. Due to this, the maximum temperature may drop to 17 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature to 9 degrees Celsius. Cloudy conditions are expected on 12 January, with light rain or drizzle in the morning. The maximum temperature may be around 18 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature around 10 degrees Celsius. Light to moderate fog is expected from 13 to 15 January. The weather will remain dry. The maximum temperature will be between 18 and 19 degrees Celsius, and the minimum temperature between 8 and 9 degrees Celsius.</p>

<p>According to the IMD, the weather in Punjab will be clear today. There is no alert for fog or cold waves. However, the weather may change tomorrow. The IMD has predicted thunderstorms for 11 January. The weather will remain clear from 12 to 15 January.</p>

<p>A yellow alert for cold waves has been issued for Jammu and Kashmir today. The minimum temperature will remain below zero in several hilly areas, including Kukernag, Pahalgam, and Srinagar. In Uttarakhand, the weather will be clear today and tomorrow. Thunderstorms are expected on 11 January. In Himachal Pradesh, dense fog and a cold wave are expected today. The weather may change on 11 January.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Rain Alert for Uttar Pradesh</h2>



<p>A heavy rain alert has been issued for Uttar Pradesh. In Lucknow, fog will prevail in the morning on Friday, with sunshine during the day. Due to a change in wind direction from Saturday, cloudy conditions and rain are expected. Light rain is also possible on Sunday. The cold will intensify from 13 January.</p>

<p>Cold winds will prevail in Bihar. According to the meteorological department, no significant change is expected in this situation for the next three days.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Hailstorm Likely in Rajasthan</h2>



<p>In Rajasthan, rain and hailstorms are likely in several parts of the state over the next few days. The meteorological department has issued an orange alert for six districts. Light rain is expected in Bikaner, Jaipur, Bharatpur, and Ajmer on Saturday. Heavy rain and hailstorms are possible in parts of Sikar, Churu, Jhunjhunu, and Alwar on 11 January.</p>

<p><strong>Sukma Encounter:</strong> Recently, an IED blast took place in Bijapur, Chhattisgarh, where Naxals detonated a Scorpio vehicle carrying security personnel, resulting in several casualties. Following this, security forces have launched a counter-offensive. A series of intermittent firing exchanges lasting seven hours took place in the border region of Sukma and Bijapur districts. In the encounter between police and Naxals, security forces killed three Naxals and recovered weapons.</p>



<p>According to reports, a joint police party comprising DRG, STF, and Cobra forces was dispatched on Wednesday following intelligence reports about Naxal presence in the border region of Sukma and Bijapur districts. On Thursday at 10 am, an encounter occurred between Naxals and security personnel in the Kunchal and Palliguda forests. A brief exchange of fire ensued, resulting in the killing of three Naxals by the security forces. The identities of the three deceased Naxals have not yet been ascertained.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Three Naxal Bodies Recovered</h2>



<p>According to information received, while the police party was conducting a search operation, they were ambushed and fired upon by Naxals. The security personnel retaliated, engaging in intermittent firing for six hours. Seeing the overwhelming response from the security forces, the Naxals fled. A search of the encounter site led to the recovery of the bodies of three Naxals. Explosives and other daily necessities were also recovered near the bodies.</p>



<p>An encounter with Naxals took place in the border region of Sukma and Bijapur districts and the Chintaguppa and Pamed police station areas. In this encounter, the force killed three Naxals. Efforts are underway to identify the slain Naxals. – Kiran Chavan, SP, Sukma</p>

<p>A total of 17,727 vacancies for Group B and C posts have been announced under the SSC CGL Tier 2 exam. The SSC CGL 2024 Tier 1 results were declared on 3 December, followed by the release of the scorecards on 17 December.</p>

<p><strong>Sexual Harassment:</strong> A professor in the Commerce Department of Ramjas College, has been suspended from teaching duties for six weeks following allegations of sexual harassment of a minor student. Amidst growing protests, he has also resigned from his position as Joint Dean of Student Welfare at Delhi University (DU).</p>



<p>Speaking on the matter, Ramjas Principal Ajay Arora stated that the Internal Complaints Committee (ICC), an independent body in higher education institutions that addresses sexual harassment complaints, has begun investigating the case. Arora explained, “The faculty member has been placed under teaching suspension for the next 4-6 weeks while the ICC conducts its investigation. After the report is submitted, the governing body will decide on the punishment.” Arora also confirmed that the professor has resigned from his position as Joint Dean of Student Welfare at Delhi University (DU).</p>



<p>Although suspended from teaching, the accused Professor has not been barred from entering the campus. Protestors have warned of strong action if the Professor is allowed campus access during the investigation. Principal Arora said, “If the situation becomes tense, we will issue a formal notice to restrict his entry.” The incident came to light in December when the student filed a formal complaint with the Internal Complaints Committee (ICC).</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">DUSU and ABVP Protest</h2>



<p>However, due to the alleged inaction of the university administration, a six-hour sit-in protest led by the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) and the Delhi University Students&#8217; Union (DUSU) took place on Wednesday. Protestors shut down the offices of the Dean and Joint Dean of Student Welfare, demanding immediate action. </p>



<p>Clarifying the process, DU Registrar Dr. Vikas Gupta said, “The college has the autonomy to conduct the investigation and determine the punishment. The findings will then be sent to the Vice-Chancellor for approval to ensure due process is followed.”</p>



<p>The ICC, established under the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013, is currently investigating the matter. The committee comprises senior faculty members, non-faculty representatives, students, and a member from an NGO. The university administration has stressed that the investigation should proceed independently, free from external pressure. </p>


<p>Following allegations of sexual harassment, the accused professor has also resigned from the post of Joint Dean of Student Welfare at Delhi University (DU).</p>

<p>Raid on Call Centres: Ujjain police conducted raids on four advisory call centres, apprehending 130 young men and women, along with two operators. Six individuals were running the offices in partnership. These telecallers were defrauding people by opening demat accounts in their names under the guise of share investments. </p>



<p>Police arrested advisory operators Ajay Panwar and Shashi Malviya. Twelve others, including partners Chandan Bhadauria and Vinay Rathore, are absconding. Four police teams, in collaboration with the crime branch, raided Research Mart Limited (operating above Kuber Hotel), Stock Research and Bullish India, Money Magnet Research Limited (at A.K. Building Chowraha), Choice Broking Firm (in the Teen Batti area), and Angel One Limited (operating on Shankh Marg). All the accused were subsequently taken into custody.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">30% Commission</h2>



<p>Luring people with the promise of high profits in the share market, the telecallers used fraudulent apps to open demat accounts. These fraudulent accounts were managed to deceive investors, and in case of losses, the entire amount was appropriated. Even if investors used pre-existing demat accounts, a 30% commission was charged before investing in any share. This operation had been running in the city for a considerable time, surprisingly evading police attention until now.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">150 Mobiles, 25 Laptops</h2>



<p>Police seized 150 mobile phones, 25 laptops, fraudulent documents, Demat account details, and a list of investors&#8217; mobile numbers. No SEBI license was found on any of the accused. The police have also discovered evidence of transactions worth lakhs of rupees in the accounts.</p>

<p>Rajpal Yadav, uncle of Akhilesh Yadav, former Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh and head of the Samajwadi Party, passed away this morning. He breathed his last at Medanta Hospital in Gurugram at 4 am. He had been unwell for a considerable period. His demise has cast a pall of gloom over the Yadav family and the Samajwadi Party.</p>

<p>Rajpal Yadav, brother of former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav, had been ailing for quite some time. He was admitted to Medanta Hospital in Gurugram, where he passed away this morning.</p>

<p>Rajpal Yadav&#8217;s last rites will be performed today in his ancestral village, Saifai. All members of the Yadav family and senior leaders of the Samajwadi Party will attend the funeral.</p>

<p><strong>Pat Cummins&#8217; Injury, Champions Trophy 2025:</strong> Australian captain Pat Cummins (पैट कमिंस) has been rested for the Sri Lanka tour by Cricket Australia (CA). Cummins is also expecting his second child, contributing to his decision to skip the tour. However, he is also currently injured, having sustained an injury during the recent Border-Gavaskar Trophy (BGT) against India. This raises concerns about his participation in the Champions Trophy. George Bailey, chairman of selectors for Australia, has provided an update.</p>



<p>With the Champions Trophy starting on February 19th, Cummins&#8217; fitness is a major concern for the Australian team. Bailey told the media, “Pat is currently on leave. He has a minor ankle injury. He will have a scan next week, after which we will have a better understanding of his condition.”</p>



<p>When asked about Cummins&#8217; participation in the Champions Trophy, he responded, “It&#8217;s too early to say. A decision will be made after reviewing the scan results and his progress.” The Australian team is currently grappling with injuries to its key fast bowlers. During the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, Cummins played despite pain, while Mitchell Starc also suffered an injury in the fourth Test but managed to play in the Sydney Test.</p>



<p>Meanwhile, Josh Hazlewood’s (जोश हेजलवुड) shin injury ruled him out after the Gabba Test, and he has also been omitted from the Sri Lanka tour squad. Bailey expressed confidence in Hazlewood&#8217;s recovery, stating, “He is working hard, and we are receiving positive news about his progress.”</p>



<p>He clarified that excluding Hazlewood from the Sri Lanka tour was a precautionary measure to ensure his long-term fitness. Bailey said, “It would have taken him a while to be fit for this tour, so he wasn&#8217;t included. But we are confident he will be fully fit and ready for the Champions Trophy.”</p>

<p>The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the final merit list for the CDS I recruitment examination 2024. A total of 590 candidates have been shortlisted, with 470 selected for the men&#8217;s course and 120 for the women&#8217;s course. Interested candidates can view the final results of UPSC CDS 2024 on the official website, <a href="upsc.gov.in">upsc.gov.in</a>.</p>



<p>The commission further clarified that the medical examination results of the candidates were not considered while preparing the final merit list.
