Former CM Sukhbir Badal: Sri Akal Takht Sahib has sentenced Punjab&#8217;s former CM and Akali Dal President Sukhbir Badal to religious punishment on Monday. After that, on Tuesday morning, former CM Sukhbir Badal reached Sri Harmandir Sahib. During this, he was seen with a sword in his hand and a plaque around his neck. From Tuesday, Akali Dal President Sukhbir&#8217;s religious punishment has started, and he is serving in the Golden Temple, outside the Ghanta Ghar.



As part of the religious punishment, former CM Badal started serving as a sevak (volunteer) at Sri Harmandir Sahib&#8217;s main entrance at 9:10 am on Tuesday. During this, he held a sword in one hand. Along with him, former Akali Minister and former MP Sukhdev Singh Dhindsa also started serving.



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Got exemption due to fracture in leg</h2>



Sukhbir Badal and Sukhdev Singh Dhindsa have been ordered to serve as sentries from 9 am to 10 am. Sukhbir Badal was also sentenced to clean utensils and toilets, but due to a fracture in his leg, he was exempted from this punishment. The rebel group of Akali Dal and the then cabinet members will clean the toilets afternoon.

On Monday, Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) President Sukhbir Singh Badal appeared before the Panch Singh Sahibs at Akal Takht Sahib. The Akal Takht, the highest Sikh institution, had declared Punjab&#8217;s former CM and cabinet ministers &#8216;tankhaiya&#8217; two months ago.



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Sukhbir Singh Badal&#8217;s confession</h2>



Sukhbir Singh Badal confessed his mistakes before the Akal Takht Sahib. He accepted that he had forgiven Sirsa Dera chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh in the sacrilege case. The former Punjab CM also accepted that he had promoted police officers involved in the killing of innocent Sikhs. He also confessed to having given advertisements in newspapers for Ram Rahim&#8217;s pardon.

In Maharashtra, amid the political manoeuvring of Shiv Sena (Shinde faction), the BJP has begun steps towards forming a government. A meeting of the BJP legislature party is scheduled for 4 December in the Central Hall of the Vidhan Bhavan. During this meeting, the name of the new Chief Minister will be announced.



Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and former Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani have been appointed as observers for the meeting and are expected to arrive in Mumbai on Wednesday. Following the legislature party meeting, a claim to form the government will be presented to the Governor, and the swearing-in ceremony for the Chief Minister is set to take place at Azad Maidan at 5 pm on 5 December.



While BJP leaders have remained tight-lipped about the name of the new Chief Minister, it is widely speculated that Devendra Fadnavis could be finalised during the meeting. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is also expected to attend the swearing-in ceremony.



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Shinde cancels meeting</h2>



Eknath Shinde, who returned to his village, was supposed to meet with Ajit Pawar and Devendra Fadnavis on Monday to finalise the formula for government formation. However, Shinde has cancelled all his meetings again. Sources close to him say that Shinde is still suffering from fever. There is a buzz that this might be a pressure tactic.

NCP chief Ajit Pawar arrived in New Delhi on Monday to discuss the formation of the new government. He will meet Home Minister Amit Shah. Pawar is likely to be made the Finance Minister. Devendra Fadnavis was also supposed to accompany him, but he cancelled his visit at the last minute. He will join the meeting via video conferencing.

IPS Harshvardhan accident: Officer dies in tragic road crash en route to first posting

Road Accident IPS Died: In a tragic road accident, an Indian Police Service (IPS) officer, Harshvardhan, who was going to take charge of his first posting in Karnataka&#8217;s Hassan district, has died. The 26-year-old Harshvardhan, a native of Madhya Pradesh, was a 2023 batch IPS officer of the Karnataka cadre. The tyre of the police vehicle in which he was travelling allegedly burst, and the driver lost control. The vehicle collided with a house and a tree by the roadside. Harshvardhan suffered serious head injuries and died during treatment in the hospital. The driver sustained minor injuries in the incident.

Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah extended his condolences to the family, expressing his sorrow over the tragic death of probationary IPS officer Harshvardhan in an accident on the Hassan-Mysore highway. He lamented that such an incident occurred just as years of hard work were about to bear fruit, emphasising the unfortunate timing as Harshvardhan was set to take charge as an IPS officer. The Chief Minister offered prayers for the officer’s soul to find peace and conveyed his sympathies to the family.

Violence and Stampede During Football Match Leave 56 Dead, Including Children

At least 56 people have been killed in a crush at a football match in Guinea&#8217;s second-largest city, Nzérékoré, the government says.



The match was played between Labé and N&#8217;zérékoré as part of a local tournament in honour of Guinea&#8217;s military leader, Mamady Doumbouya.



The situation spiralled out of control after a disputed penalty decision, leading to clashes between fans. Security forces used tear gas and stone-pelting to control the situation, causing panic among the spectators. Many people, including children, were seen jumping over high walls to escape the chaos.

Bharatpur news: Rickshaw puller&#39;s son to represent state in Under-16 cricket team

The Bharat Cricket Control Board (BCCI) has selected Ashish Prajapat, a talented player from the district, for the Under-16 Vijay Merchant Trophy to be held in Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh from December 6. Ashish is a right-arm off-spinner and middle-order batsman and has previously taken 37 wickets in the Under-16 Challenger Trophy and state-level cricket tournaments.



Based on his excellent performance, Ashish has been selected for the Rajasthan team. According to the Secretary of the District Cricket Association, Shatrughan Tiwari, the Rajasthan team will play five matches against other state teams. The first match will be against Jharkhand on December 6, followed by matches against Uttarakhand, Vidarbha, and Karnataka. The entire tournament will be held in Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh, and will be played in a three-day league format.
