कोटा.देश की प्रतिष्ठित इंजीनियरिंग प्रवेश परीक्षा जेईई मेन 2025 का जनवरी सेशन बुधवार से शुरू हो गया। 30 जनवरी तक चलने वाली इस परीक्षा में देशभर से 14 लाख से अधिक छात्र पंजीकृत हुए।
केंद्रों पर सुरक्षा के कड़े इंतजाम किए गए। छात्रों को केवल ओरिजिनल आईडी, पारदर्शी पेन, फोटो, और पानी की बोतल के साथ प्रवेश दिया गया। इलेक्ट्रॉनिक गैजेट, मोटे सोल के जूते, मैटेलिक बटन वाले कपड़े प्रतिबंधित रहे। एआई-आधारित कैमरों से मॉनिटरिंग और मेटल डिटेक्टर से तलाशी ली गई।

दमोह. जबेरा सामुदायिक स्वास्थ्य केंद्र के सीबीएमओ की अमानवीयता से जुड़ा एक वीडियो वायरल हुआ है। इसमें बीएमओ डॉ. डीके राय मृत महिला के परिजनों से अभद्रता करते दिख रहे हैं। साथ ही उन्हें परिसर से बाहर करने को कह रहे हैं। जानकारी के अनुसार दमोह की शोभानगर निवासी एक महिला को गंभीर हालत में जिला अस्पताल से जबलपुर रेफर किया गया था। जबेरा के पास अचानक हालत बिगडऩे पर महिला को परिजन जबेरा अस्पताल लेकर पहुंचे। यहां परिजनों का आरोप है कि आधे घंटे तक वह डॉक्टरों को तलाशते रहे, लेकिन कोई नहीं मिला। इसके बाद जब डॉक्टर आए तो उन्होंने वॉटल चढ़ाई, पर थोड़ी देर में महिला की मौत हो गई। इसी बीच बीएमओ डॉ. राय आए और उन्होंने परिजनों से अभद्रता करना शुरू कर दी।

शर्मनाक: चारपाई पर जननी ने नवजात को दिया जन्म

दमोह. जननी सुरक्षा को लेकर अंचलों में अभी भी भयाभय स्थिति बनी हुई है। ऐसे कई गांव हैं, हां पक्की सड़क न होने से गांवों में जननी वाहन नहीं पहुंच पा रहे है। मामला कुम्हारी क्षेत्र के डोंढ़ा का है, जहां मंगलवार देर शाम एक २२ वर्षीय जननी को प्रसव पीड़ा होने पर परिजन चारपाई ले जाने मजबूर हुए। गांव से दो किमी दूर एम्बुलेंस खड़ी थी। खेतों के रास्ते अंधरे के बीच तड़पती जननी को टॉर्च की रोशन से एम्बुलेंस तक पहुंचाया गया।

A devastating accident in Uttara Kannada, Karnataka, has claimed the lives of ten people and left fifteen injured. The incident occurred on Wednesday morning near Arebile when a truck carrying vegetable vendors overturned.

The victims were travelling from Savanur to Kumta market, hoping to sell their produce. Their journey tragically ended when their truck was involved in a serious accident. Emergency services swiftly transported the injured to the nearest hospital for treatment.

MP Board Paper Leak: Even before the pre-board examinations of the Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education (MPBSE) could begin, question papers for classes 10 and 12 were leaked across social media platforms. This incident raises serious questions about the credibility of the examination process. The misuse of social media platforms like Instagram, Telegram, and YouTube, through numerous fake accounts sharing question papers and solutions, has undermined both students&#8217; hard work and the fairness of the examination system.



District Education Officer Anand Sharma told Patrika that paper leaks are uncommon in pre-board exams as these are conducted at the school level, primarily to prepare students for the board exams. The pre-board papers are prepared by school teachers and handled within a limited scope. Their purpose is to assess student performance and provide opportunities for improvement. Any rumours of such incidents are usually based on misunderstandings or unverified information, possibly intended to unnecessarily worry students. Students are advised to ignore such rumours and focus on their studies; consistent and honest preparation is key to success.



The education officer, Anand Sharma, explained the system in MP: Each principal has a login ID through which they access the papers on the Vimarsh portal. After printing, the principal provides copies to photocopiers. The leak may have occurred at the photocopying shop. However, he added that whether or not a pre-board paper leaks is inconsequential, as the pre-board&#8217;s purpose is practice. Even if students study leaked papers, they will only pass if they write what they have studied, as there is no pass or fail criteria. Model papers are provided for practice. The pre-board&#8217;s sole purpose is to provide exam practice; there is no pass/fail provision.



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">The System in MP</h2>



The education officer, Anand Sharma, stated that access to the papers is granted through individual login IDs provided to each principal across the state. The papers are sent to their IDs on the Vimarsh portal. Principals then print them and give them to photocopiers. It is possible that the leak originated from the shop where the papers were photocopied. However, it&#8217;s also true that in pre-board exams, whether or not a paper leaks makes no difference, as the purpose is practice.



If students have studied leaked material, they will only pass if they write what they have studied, as there is no pass or fail. Model papers are now provided so students can practice. Even if they obtain and study a leaked paper, it will still help them. The purpose of pre-board exams is to provide exam practice; there is no pass/fail provision.

—The mathematics paper, scheduled for Tuesday, was leaked 21 hours before the exam.



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Social Media Accounts Using Unofficial Names</h2>



Investigations revealed that the papers were shared on several social media accounts, including Munna bhai yt, Mp bord official, Sdlclasses, Mp bord secondryhighereducation, and others. Some sites also provided solved papers along with the question papers.

UPSC CSE Prelims Exam Registration: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the notification for the CSE Preliminary Examination, and the registration process has commenced. Candidates interested in appearing for this exam can apply online through the official website, upsc.gov.in. The UPSC has announced that the Civil Services Preliminary Examination will be held on 25 May 2025.

John Bolton: US Should Embrace More H-1B Immigrants

Former US National Security Advisor John Bolton has thrown his weight behind significant reforms to the US immigration system, particularly focusing on the H-1B visa program. 



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Addressing the Immigration Logjam</h2>



While acknowledging the urgency of tackling illegal immigration – a stance he notes is widely popular – Bolton highlighted the critical need to address the crippling gridlock within the legal immigration system. He stated, &#8220;The legal immigration system is hopelessly gridlocked. It&#8217;s very politically difficult to change.&#8221;



Bolton&#8217;s solution? A more welcoming approach to legal immigration. He believes it&#8217;s a key ingredient for US prosperity, adding, &#8220;My view is that we should welcome additional immigrants. It&#8217;s a source of strength for the United States.&#8221; He sees the visa program as a valuable tool, allowing skilled workers to contribute while retaining the option to return home or pursue US citizenship.



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">H-1B Visas and the Need for Political Will</h2>



Bolton specifically praised the H-1B visa program for its positive impact on the US, urging a renewed political commitment to facilitate greater legal immigration. He stressed the importance of orderly processes, a stark contrast to the current situation. &#8220;But I think it&#8217;s a very positive program for the United States and at some point, we need to find the political will to allow more legal immigration,&#8221; he asserted. &#8220;It&#8217;s a question of&#8230;doing it in an orderly fashion, and we are certainly not doing that right now.&#8221;



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Strengthening India-US Relations: Beyond Trade</h2>



Shifting focus to US-India relations, Bolton noted the positive personal rapport between Prime Minister Modi and President Trump. He commended the Biden administration&#8217;s progress on Asian security, particularly through the QUAD partnership (India, Japan, Australia, and the US), expressing hope that this momentum would continue under any future administration.



While acknowledging the Biden administration&#8217;s focus on trade in US-India discussions, Bolton stressed the need to elevate the conversation beyond purely economic matters. He highlighted the paramount strategic importance of the India-US partnership in the 21st century, advocating for discussions encompassing a broader range of geopolitical issues.



&#8220;In the meetings I attended&#8230;almost the entire conversation turned on trade issues,&#8221; he recalled. &#8220;Trade&#8217;s important&#8230;But there are important strategic issues where I think the US and India have a common relationship. I&#8217;d like to see the PM and [future Presidents] get beyond trade issues&#8230;But they need to talk about these broader strategic questions as well.&#8221;



Bolton concluded by emphasising the profound significance of the India-US relationship, urging leaders to prioritise a comprehensive strategic dialogue alongside crucial trade discussions.

Denied Exam Over Unpaid Fees, Student Ends Life

An eighth-grade student in Surat, Gujarat, committed suicide by hanging herself at home. The child&#8217;s family alleges that the school administration prevented her from taking the examination due to outstanding fees. They claim she was subjected to two days of physical and mental harassment, including being made to stand near the bathroom. Distressed by this, she took her own life.



Bhavna (14), daughter of Rajubhai Khatik residing in the Godadara area of Surat, was a student at Adarsh Public School. Rajubhai stated that his daughter was barred from taking the examination before Makar Sankranti due to outstanding fees. She came home crying. He claims he called the school and requested to pay the fees the following month, but she continued to be harassed. It is reported that on Monday, all family members were at a relative&#8217;s house when Bhavna hanged herself from a ceiling fan. Upon their return, the family took her to the hospital, where doctors declared her dead.



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Missing: Principal</h2>



Regarding this incident, the school principal stated that they never demand fees directly from students, only informing parents about outstanding payments. They claim the allegations are false and that the student was missing. The state&#8217;s Education Minister, Prof. Prafull Panseriya, has assured an investigation into the parents&#8217; allegations.
