
<p>In Raipur, Chhattisgarh, workers and their families coming to the State Employee Insurance Corporation&#8217;s dispensary for treatment will be directly referred to specialist hospitals. This instruction was given by Labor Minister Lakhn Lal Dewangan to officials during a review meeting of the regional council of the Employee State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) in the ministry. He said that currently, patients with serious illnesses and those in emergencies have to be referred from the ESIC dispensary to the main hospital and then to a contracted hospital, which causes a lot of trouble to the workers&#8217; families.</p>



<p>CG News: To avoid this complex process and ensure that workers&#8217; families do not face difficulties, the ESIC will provide facilities to patients in other hospitals until it increases its hospital facilities. The minister has instructed to survey rice mills, malls, shopping complexes, and private schools in the state and register as many employees as possible with the ESIC. He has also directed to start an office and hospital in Bastar soon. Moreover, he has instructed us to increase the IPD facility in ESIC hospitals.</p>

<p>Officials told the minister that four new branch offices will be opened soon in the state. These will be in Surguja, Surajpur, and Dantewada, where BSNL buildings have been taken on rent. <p>The construction of dispensaries in Urala and Tilda has been approved, and the collector&#8217;s office in Raipur has informed that all vacant land in Urala has been handed over to the Chhattisgarh State Industrial Development Corporation (CSIDC). The district administration has assured that if vacant land is available in Urala, it will be confirmed by the CSIDC, and then the Employee State Insurance Corporation will be informed for further action.</p>

<p>India&#8217;s tourism sector is expected to generate around 39.5 million jobs by the end of the year. Meanwhile, it is expected to reach 42.3 million job opportunities by 2025. This information was provided in a report on Thursday. According to Nalb Servis, a technology and digital talent solutions provider, 31% of these jobs will be direct, including tour guides, hotel staff, and tour operators.</p>



<p>Nalb Servis CEO Sachin Alug said, &#8220;Under this, people who will get indirect employment will include local artisans, logistics and transportation operators, supply chain workers, IT support for online booking, data analysis, and landscape maintenance. 69% of the jobs will be in these areas.&#8221;</p>



<p>The World Travel and Tourism Council (WTTC) has estimated a 7.1% annual GDP growth rate for India&#8217;s travel and tourism sector over the next decade. This industry has a significant impact on the economy, contributing around $199.6 billion to the country&#8217;s GDP. The government has allocated Rs 2,479 crore for tourism in the central budget for 2025, which will further boost this sector.</p>



<p>Alug said, &#8220;The multiplier effect of the tourism sector is very strong, as each direct job is expected to create multiple indirect jobs.&#8221;</p>



<p>Rising tourism trends highlight increasing interest in adventure and health tourism, as well as culinary tourism, as tourists want to experience local flavors. Spiritual tourism remains a major attraction, drawing both domestic and international tourists to cities like Varanasi, Rishikesh, and Bodh Gaya.</p>



<p>Additionally, India ranks 10th globally in the Medical Tourism Index (MTI) for 2020-2021 and is expected to rise in the coming years, with a projected 12% increase in the number of nurses, 10% in doctors, and 15% in other healthcare workers. According to the report, another significant trend is the growth of the backpacker hostel market, which caters to young travelers seeking budget-friendly and social options. Alug said this segment will create opportunities for hostel managers, event coordinators, and digital marketers, contributing an additional 5% to the total employment in the tourism sector.</p>

<p>Aadhaar and PAN Card Data: Amidst concerns over data security, the central government has blocked some websites that were leaking the citizens&#8217; Aadhaar and PAN card data with a single click on Google search. The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has filed a complaint with the concerned police authorities for violating the ban on the public display of Aadhaar information.</p>

<p>The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology and the Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-In) discovered that two companies in Navi Mumbai were exposing sensitive personal information on their websites, including Aadhaar and PAN card details. After a preliminary investigation, these websites were blocked. UIDAI and CERT-In are investigating the matter further.</p>

<p>CERT-In has also issued guidelines for all organizations using IT applications to ensure secure application design, development, implementation, and operation.</p>

<p>In any office, it is difficult for an employee not to have any complaints, but employees do not come forward to register their complaints. If the complaints are related to work pressure, companies also hide them. According to the Business Responsibility and Sustainability Reporting (BRSR) data, in 2023, not a single complaint was registered by employees of around 944 companies. Either they did not have any complaints against the company or the complaints were hidden.</p>



<p>According to the data, India&#8217;s top 1062 listed companies received over 2.20 lakh complaints related to health and safety from employees in 2023. Apart from this, around 75,000 complaints were related to overworking. These complaints were received by only a few companies. 920 companies claimed that they did not receive any complaints regarding work conditions. The companies claimed that they had resolved all the complaints. Most safety-related complaints in companies come from women. However, in most cases, women do not register their complaints.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">It&#8217;s impossible to have no complaints</h2>



<p>Professor Bino Paul of the Tata Institute of Social Sciences says that employees not raising complaints is a serious concern. There can be no complaints. Prof. Paul said that the relationship between the company and the employee management has become one of profit-making. As a result, the autonomy of the employee is decreasing.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Why they don&#8217;t register</h2>



<p>Labor law expert Vikram Shroff says that companies need to comply with many laws related to health and safety. In some cases, a committee needs to be formed to look into health and safety issues. However, considering the experience of Covid, many companies are providing a better work environment. Many companies regularly conduct surveys to understand the problems of employees and solve them, which has reduced or eliminated complaints.</p>

<p>A 17-day strike is going on at Samsung&#8217;s plant in Sriperumbudur, Tamil Nadu. The company has warned employees of termination. The employees are demanding a wage hike, reducing working hours to 8 hours, and recognition of the Samsung India Labor Welfare Union.</p>

<p>On September 27, they will perform Shradh for departed sportsmen, artists, and musicians. On September 28, they will perform Shradh for former rulers and royal families who worked for the country&#8217;s welfare. On September 29, they will perform Shradh for departed saints and seers. On September 30, they will perform Shradh for those who died due to unknown reasons, starvation, and natural disasters. On October 1, they will perform Shradh for those who died due to the coronavirus pandemic and other natural calamities.</p>

<p>According to Karmanyogi, Shradh is our scripturally ordained tradition. Performing Shradh and Tarpan is essential for the peace of the departed souls. Many people are unable to perform Shradh due to various reasons. Keeping this in mind, they started this Mahotsav 25 years ago. The purpose is to promote reverence, conservation, and social welfare for all living beings and to inspire people to follow the path of dharma and sanskar.</p>

<p>This year, the Karmanyogi Seva Sansthan is organizing a 16-day Shradh Tarpan Shraddhanjali program for the peace of departed souls. The event will take place at the Guru Dham Colony, Rotenda Road, near Sogariya Railway Station, under the guidance of President Anil Kumar Sharma and the patronage of Govind Narayan Agrawal.</p>

<p>Armenia wants to upgrade its Sukhoi-30 fighter jets with the help of India&#8217;s Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL). Armenia currently has four Sukhoi-30 aircraft, but they lack air-to-air missiles, advanced radar systems, and avionics.</p>



<p>Recently, during the Tarang Shakthi exercise in Jodhpur, the Chief of Armenia Air Force, Colonel Hovhannes Vardanyan, expressed his desire for the upgrade. He held talks with CDS Anil Chauhan on the matter during the Defence Expo held at the Jodhpur Air Force Station on the last day of the exercise.</p>



<p>Notably, India has two squadrons of Sukhoi-30 MKI fighter jets stationed in Jodhpur, and Armenia compared the power of its Sukhoi-30 with that of the F-16 fighter jets of the US, Greece, and the UAE during the exercise. Armenia wants to upgrade its Sukhoi-30 fleet as well. However, there are some differences between Armenia&#8217;s Sukhoi-30 and India&#8217;s Sukhoi-30 MKI.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Four Sukhoi-30s were purchased, all considered white elephants</h2>



<p>Armenia purchased four Sukhoi-30 fighter jets from Russia in 2019, but they lacked air-to-air missiles and other weapons, making them ineffective. During the 2020 war with Azerbaijan, Armenia&#8217;s Sukhoi-30s remained grounded. After the conflict, Armenia purchased artillery guns, missiles, mortars, radar systems, and small arms from India. Armenia has also placed an order worth 155 million dollars with India&#8217;s Kalyani Strategic Systems for 155mm artillery guns. Additionally, Armenia has purchased the Pinaka rocket system.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">India has 260 Sukhoi-30s</h2>



<p>India has around 260 Sukhoi-30 MKI fighter jets. While 50 were directly imported from Russia, the remaining were manufactured in India by HAL under a transfer of technology (ToT) agreement. HAL is also upgrading India&#8217;s Sukhoi-30s, for which the Air Force has signed a 64,000 crore rupees deal. The upgraded aircraft will be equipped with advanced radar and weapons.</p>

During the inspection, two doctors were found providing services at their private clinics, and orders have been issued to investigate them.</p>
