Washington [US]: The United States on Friday rejected the International Criminal Court&#8217;s (ICC) decision to issue arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defence Minister Yoav Gallant, who are accused of &#8220;crimes against humanity and war crimes.&#8221;



White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre expressed concern over the decision in a press briefing, stating, &#8220;We fundamentally reject the court&#8217;s decision to issue arrest warrants for senior Israeli officials.&#8221; She criticised the prosecutor&#8217;s haste in seeking the warrants and pointed out troubling process errors that led to this outcome.



Jean-Pierre also added that the United States has been clear about the ICC&#8217;s lack of jurisdiction over this matter. &#8220;Whatever this prosecutor might imply, there is no evidence, none between Israel and Hamas, there&#8217;s just none,&#8221; she said. The White House is working closely with its partners, including Israel, to discuss the next steps. Jean-Pierre reaffirmed, &#8220;We fundamentally reject that the ICC has jurisdiction over the situation, and so that&#8217;s something that we&#8217;ve been pretty clear about and we&#8217;ll continue to.&#8221;



This statement comes as the US continues to show support for Israel amid the ICC&#8217;s charges against its leaders.



Meanwhile, the ICC in The Hague on Thursday issued arrest warrants for Netanyahu and Gallant, accusing them of &#8220;crimes against humanity and war crimes.&#8221; The charges include allegations of targeting civilians and enforcing policies of starvation in Gaza.



Prime Minister Netanyahu condemned the ICC&#8217;s decision in a statement on his social media platform, calling it &#8220;antisemitic&#8221; and comparing it to the infamous Dreyfus trial. In a video posted on his X handle, Netanyahu said, &#8220;The antisemitic decision of the international court in The Hague is a modern Dreyfus trial, and it will end the same way.&#8221;



Netanyahu drew parallels between his situation and the false treason charges against French Jewish officer Alfred Dreyfus over 130 years ago. Referring to Emile Zola&#8217;s famous essay J&#8217;accuse, which defended Dreyfus, Netanyahu said, &#8220;Now an international court in The Hague, also headed by a French judge, is repeating this outrageous offence. It is falsely accusing me and former Defence Minister Yoav Gallant of deliberately targeting civilians.&#8221;



He defended Israel&#8217;s military actions in Gaza, claiming that the measures implemented were necessary to minimise civilian casualties. &#8220;We issue millions of text messages, phone calls, and leaflets to warn the citizens of Gaza to get out of harm&#8217;s way, while Hamas terrorists do everything in their power to keep them in harm&#8217;s way, including using them as human shields,&#8221; Netanyahu said.



Netanyahu dismissed accusations of imposing a starvation policy, highlighting that Israel had supplied 700,000 tons of food to Gaza. He stated, &#8220;We&#8217;ve supplied Gaza with 700,000 tons of food to feed the people of Gaza. That&#8217;s 3,200 calories for every man, woman, and child in Gaza. And these supplies are routinely looted by Hamas terrorists, who deprive their people of much-needed food.&#8221; He also noted that Israel had facilitated the vaccination of 97 percent of Gaza&#8217;s population against polio. Netanyahu called the ICC&#8217;s charges baseless, asking, &#8220;What in God&#8217;s name are they talking about in The Hague?&#8221;



The Israeli Prime Minister further criticised the ICC for focusing on Israel while ignoring war crimes in countries like Iran, Syria, and Yemen. He also denounced the court for its failure to act against Hamas, describing their atrocities during the recent Gaza conflict. &#8220;No biassed anti-Israel decision in The Hague will prevent the State of Israel from defending its citizens,&#8221; Netanyahu asserted.



He thanked allies, particularly the United States, for condemning the ICC&#8217;s move and reiterated that Israel does not recognize the court&#8217;s jurisdiction. The Israeli PM said, &#8220;We will continue to do everything we must to defend our citizens and defend our state against Iran&#8217;s Axis of terror, which includes Hamas, Hezbollah, the Houthis, and others.&#8221;



&#8220;Our enemies are your enemies, and our victory will be your victory&#8211;the victory of civilization over barbarism and tyranny,&#8221; Netanyahu added.

Meanwhile, three doctors have been suspended due to this negligence.



On Thursday, Rohitash was admitted to Jhunjhunu&#8217;s BDK Hospital, after which the doctors declared him dead and even prepared a post-mortem report. Fortunately, before the pyre was lit, the youth&#8217;s breathing started again, but later his condition deteriorated again at night.



After this, the youth was referred from Jhunjhunu&#8217;s BDK Hospital to Jaipur&#8217;s SMS Hospital, but Rohitash died before reaching SMS Hospital. The hospital superintendent Dr. Sushil Bhati has confirmed Rohitash&#8217;s death. He said that Rohitash&#8217;s body has been kept in the mortuary for post-mortem.



Rohitash was brought to Jhunjhunu&#8217;s Bhagwan Das Khaitan Hospital in an unconscious state, where doctors declared him dead and handed over the body to his family members. But just before the last rites, Rohitash&#8217;s breathing started again and he started moving on the pyre. After this, the family members brought Rohitash back to BDK Hospital. Later, he was referred to Jaipur, but he lost the battle of life on the way.



Meanwhile, after the negligence came to light, a committee was formed under the direction of District Collector Ramavtar Meena, and on the recommendation of the committee, the Principal Secretary of the Medical and Health Department, Nisha Meena, suspended BDK Hospital&#8217;s PMO Dr. Sandeep Pachar, Dr. Yogesh Kumar Jakhar, and Dr. Navneet Meel.

LPG Gas Cylinder: Big News for 5 Lakh Families, Get Cylinder for Just Rs 450, simply complete a small task

Jodhpur, Jodhpur Rural, and Phalodi districts’ 5 lakh families will now receive domestic LPG cylinders for just Rs 450 under the LPG subsidy scheme. For this, around 1,300 ration shops in the districts are carrying out LPG seeding. So far, 20% of the seeding has been completed. The final date for seeding is 30th November.



Under the Rasoi Gas Cylinder Subsidy Scheme, women from needy families are being supported through the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana and the BPL category. These families have already been receiving LPG cylinders at a subsidised rate of Rs 450. In Jodhpur, there are 5 lakh families, of which approximately 1.5 lakh were already benefiting from this scheme. As part of the 2024-25 budget announcement by Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma, the scheme&#8217;s scope has been expanded to include all families receiving ration wheat, i.e., all NFSA beneficiaries, who will now be eligible to receive LPG cylinders at Rs 450.



The state government has provided new POS (Point of Sale) machines to all 27,000 ration dealers in the state. The machine is quite updated, but the new machine is facing signal problems. Due to frequent network outages, there are problems in LPG seeding. Without LPG seeding, wheat distribution will not be possible this month. As a result, people are also facing a lot of trouble at ration shops. Ration dealers say that after the signal goes off on the POS machine, the network does not come for two hours, due to which the ration seekers get tired and return home.

Udaipur News: A severe road accident occurred in Udaipur district late at night. Five people died in the accident. All the deceased were young, between 20 and 25 years old. The accident took place in the Sukher police station area. According to the information, on Thursday night, a car coming from Delwara, Rajsamand, was going on the wrong side of the road towards Debari from Amba. During this time, it had a severe collision with a truck coming from the opposite direction.

The identity of another young man remains unknown.

New Delhi: Amid alleged bribery and fraud charges by the US against Gautam Adani, Congress MP Rahul Gandhi on Thursday called for Adani&#8217;s arrest and said that it is &#8220;clear&#8221; and &#8220;established&#8221; that the Adani Group Chairman has broken both American and Indian laws.



Earlier, a five-count criminal indictment was unsealed in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York, charging prominent Indian executives including the Chairman of the Adani Group Gautam Adani by linking them to an alleged bribery and fraud scheme.



&#8220;Wherever there is corruption, investigation should be done. But the investigation will begin with Adani. Unless he is arrested, it won&#8217;t be credible. So, begin it from there. Arrest Adani, interrogate him and then nab whoever is involved. In the end, Narendra Modi&#8217;s name will come out because BJP&#8217;s entire funding structure is in his hands. So, even if the PM wants, he can&#8217;t do anything. In a way, Adani has hijacked the country. India is in Adani&#8217;s grip,&#8221; Rahul Gandhi said.



Addressing a press conference, Rahul Gandhi said, &#8220;It is now pretty clear and established in America that Adani has broken both American law and Indian law. Chief Ministers have been arrested and Adani has apparently done one 2000 cr scam and multiple others probably but there is no investigation.&#8221;



&#8220;We have been demanding for many days that Adani ji should be arrested. He should be arrested today itself. Madhabi Buch (SEBI Chairperson) who is his protector, who did not do any investigation, should be removed and an investigation should be done,&#8221; he further added.



The Lok Sabha Leader of Opposition also alleged that the Prime Minister is protecting Adani and is involved in corruption with him.



&#8220;This has been clearly indicated. Narendra Modi gave the slogan &#8216;Ek hai to Safe hai&#8217;. In India, if Adani and Modi are one, they are safe. Nothing can be done against Adani in Hindustan. Chief Minister has been jailed for 10-15 crores but Adani does a scam of 2000 crores and he is roaming free,&#8221; Rahul said.



He also asserted that it is his responsibility as the Leader of the Opposition to raise this issue.



&#8220;The Prime Minister is 100% protecting this individual. Adani ji fully supports the BJP. These are established facts. Our demand is for a JPC (Joint Parliamentary Committee), but we also want Adani ji to be arrested,&#8221; he added.



Rahul Gandhi also claimed that it is not about only Adani but an entire network.



&#8220;Young people in India are not getting jobs, and if someone commits even a minor crime, they end up in jail. But we want to show the country that this is not just about one individual&#8211;it&#8217;s an entire network. We have clearly exposed Madhabi Puri Buch, and we will reveal more such individuals in the future,&#8221; the Congress MP said.



Rahul Gandhi, further asserted that wherever such scams happen, whether under an Opposition government or BJP, there should be an investigation, and punishment must be given.



&#8220;But the investigation must begin with Adani ji because the BJP&#8217;s entire funding structure is in his hands. In a way, Adani ji has hijacked India. We have successfully proven to every youngster in the country that Adani ji and Modi ji are the same thing. We will reveal the entire network to the country. The truth will come out, and we are not going to back down,&#8221; he said.



The LoP also mentioned that retail investors are being put at risk.



&#8220;This is why we raised the issue of Madhabi Buch, as her responsibility is to protect retail investors. Adani ji has lied to investors in both America and India. When America is saying that he committed crimes, why are the CBI and SEBI silent here?&#8221; Rahul asked further.



However, in its first reaction, the spokesperson of Adani Group denied all allegations made by the US prosecutors.



&#8220;The allegations made by the US Department of Justice and the US Securities and Exchange Commission against directors of Adani Green are baseless and denied. As stated by the US Department of Justice itself, &#8216;the charges in the indictment are allegations and the defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.&#8217; All possible legal recourse will be sought. The Adani Group has always upheld and is steadfastly committed to maintaining the highest standards of governance, transparency and regulatory compliance across all jurisdictions of its operations. Georgetown [Guyana]: External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar congratulated Prime Minister Narendra Modi on being conferred with the &#8216;Dominica Award of Honour&#8217;, the highest national award of Dominica, during his state visit to Guyana.



In a post on X, Jaishankar said, &#8220;Congratulate PM @narendramodi on being conferred with Dominica&#8217;s highest National Award &#8211; &#8216;Dominica Award of Honour&#8217;.&#8221;



The External Affairs Minister noted that the award recognises, &#8220;PM&#8217;s statesmanship, especially support to Dominica during the Covid-19 pandemic.&#8221;



He observed, &#8220;The award reinforces PM @narendramodi&#8217;s leadership in being a true partner and voice of the Global South.&#8221;

After being conferred with the award, Prime Minister Modi expressed his heartfelt gratitude.



He said, &#8220;This honour is not only mine, but also of the 1.4 billion people of India, their efforts, their values, their traditions.&#8221;



He thanked President Sylvanie Burton of Dominica for her special gesture to come to Guyana and confer the award on him.



&#8220;India and Dominica are role models for the world in the field of women empowerment. Both countries have women presidents. You both are a source of inspiration for women across the world,&#8221; PM remarked while receiving the award.



PM Modi said, &#8220;India and Dominica have longstanding historic and cultural relations. In the 19th century, many Indians made Dominica their home. The cornerstone laid down by them lays the strong groundwork for our friendship. Inspired by their actions, we want to support Dominica&#8217;s development and capacity building actively.&#8221;



PM Modi also highlighted, &#8220;It has been a great source of satisfaction for India that during the time of the COVID pandemic, we were able to help the people of Dominica. Dominica is our valuable partner in the CARICOM region, and in the upcoming times, we are committed to taking our relationship to greater heights. After being conferred with this award, our responsibility becomes even more.&#8221;



Prime Minister Narendra Modi was also conferred with the highest national award of Guyana, &#8216;The Order of Excellence,&#8217; during his visit to the nation on the final leg of his three-nation tour. The award was presented to him by Guyanese President Mohamed Irfaan Ali. &#8216;The Order of Excellence&#8217; was awarded to PM Modi for his exceptional service to the global community, statesmanship, and contribution to deepening the India-Guyana ties.

Congress calls for JPC into Adani group transactions after US prosecutors charge Gautam Adani in bribery case

New Delhi [India]: After a US District Court in New York charged the Chairman of the Adani Group, Gautam Adani, linking him and others to an alleged bribery and fraud scheme, Congress leader Jairam Ramesh said on Thursday that it vindicated the demand that the Congress was making for a Joint Parliamentary Committee investigation into the various alleged scams.



In a post on X, Jairam said, &#8220;The indictment of Gautam Adani and others by the Securities and Exchanges Commission (SEC) of the US vindicates the demand that the Indian National Congress has been making since Jan 2023 for a Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC) investigation into the various Modani scams. The INC had asked a hundred questions in its Hum Adani ke Hain (HAHK) series bringing out the various dimensions of these scams and of the intimate nexus that has existed between the PM and his favourite businessman. These questions have remained unanswered.&#8221;



The Congress leader also mentioned that the SEC&#8217;s actions also cast a poor light on the manner in which its &#8220;Indian counterpart, namely SEBI&#8221;, has gone about investigating alleged violations of securities and other laws by the Adani Group.



&#8220;The INC reiterates its demand for a JPC in the transactions of the Adani Group, which is leading to growing monopolization in key sectors of the Indian economy, fuelling inflation, and posing huge foreign policy challenges as well, especially in our neighbourhood,&#8221; Jairam Ramesh said further.



According to the U.S. Attorney&#8217;s Office, Eastern District of New York, &#8220;A five-count criminal indictment was unsealed in federal court charging Gautam Adani, Sagar R. Adani, and Vneet S. Jaain, with conspiracies to commit securities and wire fraud and substantive securities fraud for their roles in a multi-billion-dollar scheme to obtain funds from U.S. investors and global financial institutions based on false and misleading statements.&#8221;



The indictment also charges Ranjit Gupta and Rupesh Agarwal, former executives of a renewable-energy company with securities that had traded on the New York Stock Exchange (the U.S. Issuer), and Cyril Cabanes, Saurabh Agarwal and Deepak Malhotra, former employees of a Canadian institutional investor, with conspiracy to violate the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act in connection with the alleged bribery scheme.



&#8220;As alleged, the defendants orchestrated an elaborate scheme to bribe Indian government officials to secure contracts worth billions of dollars and Gautam S. Adani, Sagar R. Adani and Vneet S. Jaain lied about the bribery scheme as they sought to raise capital from U.S. and international investors,&#8221; stated United States Attorney Breon Peace.



The indictment also accuses the executive of obstructing investigations by the FBI, Department of Justice (DOJ), and Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).



The US Attorney&#8217;s office says that the charges in the indictment are allegations and the defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty. The investigation was conducted by the FBI New York&#8217;s Corporate, Securities and Commodities Fraud and International Corruption Units.



The government&#8217;s case is being handled by the Business and Securities Fraud Section of the U.S. Attorney&#8217;s Office for the Eastern District of New York and the Criminal Division&#8217;s Fraud Section.



There has been no response so far from the office of Gautam Adani or others named in the indictment. (ANI)

Rajasthan air pollution: AQI soars past 300; 5 NCR-linked districts face closure

Air Pollution In Rajasthan: Not only Delhi, but the air of many cities in the state has also become bad to very bad. This is causing trouble for people to breathe, and visibility is also decreasing. The problem is increasing day by day. Along with Jaipur, the air quality index (AQI) has crossed 250-400 in many cities including Bhivadi, Sikar, Shri Ganganagar, Kota, Tonk, and Hanumangarh.



Jaipur&#8217;s air is also becoming very bad. The level of air pollution is increasing day by day, reaching the &#8216;bad to very bad&#8217; category. The city&#8217;s air quality index (AQI) has reached 200-300. Even for healthy people, the air has become very bad.



According to the Central Pollution Control Board&#8217;s online data monitoring, Jaipur&#8217;s air pollution has been constantly increasing over the past 5 days. It has reached the &#8216;bad to very bad&#8217; category. On November 16, the AQI was 188, which increased to 179 on November 17. On November 18, it reached the &#8216;bad&#8217; category, with an AQI of 210, which further increased to 220 on November 19. On Wednesday, Jaipur&#8217;s average AQI reached 251, with the highest AQI recorded at 300. In Sitapura, Mansarovar, and Murlipura, the level of PM-2.5 and PM-10 has crossed 400, which is a serious situation.



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Five NCR-linked districts</h2>



In 5 districts connected to NCR, including Alwar, Bharatpur, Deeg, Tijara-Khairthal, and Bahrod-Kotputli, mining, crusher stone work, brick kilns have been shut down. Work on flyovers, road construction, and other development projects has also been stopped. Additionally, a holiday has been declared for students from class 1 to 5 in Tijara-Khairthal.



For this, the Pollution Control Board has issued instructions to the Education Department, Mining Department, Transport Department, as well as RIICO and Industries. These instructions have been issued based on the guidelines of the Commission for Air Quality Management in NCR and Adjoining Areas.
