Return of Indian Cricket Team in Hong Kong Sixes After Seven Years

Hong Kong Sixes: The 2005 champion Indian cricket team will participate in the Hong Kong Sixes tournament again. In this six-a-side tournament to be held from November 1 to 3, teams from Bangladesh, Australia, England, Hong Kong, Nepal, New Zealand, Oman, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, and the United Arab Emirates will participate.

Cricket Hong Kong has confirmed this on social media. In this six-a-side tournament to be held from November 1 to 3, teams from India, Bangladesh, Australia, England, Hong Kong, Nepal, New Zealand, Oman, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, and the United Arab Emirates will participate. This tournament, recognized by the ICC, started in 1992 and was last played in 2017. The Indian team has been the champion only once in 2005. England has won this tournament a maximum of five times. Legendary players like Sachin Tendulkar and MS Dhoni have also played in this tournament.

Rules For Hong Kong Sixes tournament

– 8 to 12 teams participate.

– Each team has 6 players.

– Except for the wicketkeeper, every player has to bowl one over.

– In the final match, one over has 8 balls, while in others, it has 6.
– Each team has to bowl 5 overs.

– If five batsmen get out before completing 5 overs, the fifth batsman can only run and cannot bat.

– A batsman has to retire at 31 runs, but he can come back to the crease if other batsmen get out or retire.
