
<p>Using mobile phones while driving is proving to be the biggest killer. A study by the Transport Research and Injury Prevention Centre (TRIPC) at IIT Delhi has revealed that using mobile phones while driving is four times more likely to cause death than jumping a red light. According to the study, in 2022, 61,038 people died in road accidents, while in 2021, 56,000 people died. This study was presented at the Safety 2024 conference. According to the report, the most accidents occurred on national highways, where 45 deaths occurred per 100 km, while on state highways, 23 deaths occurred per 100 km. According to the Central Health Ministry&#8217;s national strategy document, Tamil Nadu, Ladakh, Telangana, Chhattisgarh, and Karnataka have the highest number of road accident deaths.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Most Deaths in Jaipur</h2>



<p>In big cities, Jaipur has the highest number of road accident deaths. Here, 19.13 people out of every lakh population die in road accidents. In Chennai, this number is 11.80. Between 2015-16 and 2019-21, the death rate in road accidents increased by 25% in Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, and Assam.</p>

<p>The BJP has suffered a major setback in Delhi ahead of the assembly elections. BB Tyagi, a BJP councilor from Lakshmi Nagar, has joined the Aam Aadmi Party. AAP leader Manish Sisodia has inducted BB Tyagi into the party. Separate Toilets For Girls: Three States Have Achieved 100% Target


<p>Important information related to school education and facilities has come to light. In a petition filed in the Supreme Court, the central government has submitted an affidavit stating that more than 97.5% of schools in the country, including government, government-aided, and private schools, have separate toilets for girls. Notably, the lack of separate toilets for girls in higher classes was a major reason for them to drop out of school.</p>



<p>The central government has also stated that Delhi, Goa, and Puducherry have achieved 100% target. Uttar Pradesh, the most populous state in the country, has separate toilets for girls in 98.8% of schools. Similarly, West Bengal has achieved 99.9%, Punjab 99.5%, and Bihar 98.5%. Rajasthan has achieved 98% of the target.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Social Activist Filed a PIL</h2>



<p>Congress leader and social activist Jaya Thakur had filed a PIL, demanding that the central and state governments provide free sanitary pads to girls from class 6 to 12, along with separate toilets for girls in all government, government-aided, and residential schools. The Supreme Court had sought a response from the central government in this regard.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">2.5 Lakh Toilets Constructed for Girls</h2>



<p>According to the central government, 2.5 lakh toilets for boys and 2.9 lakh toilets for girls have been constructed in government-aided schools. <p>The Andhra Pradesh police said that four youths died due to electric shock during the preparations for the unveiling of Pappanna Gowd&#8217;s idol in Tatiparu village of Underjavarum Mandal on Sunday. <p>The Gurgaon police said on Sunday, November 3, that a case has been registered against Anmol Bishnoi, the brother of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, for making threatening calls to Bhim Sena chief Satpal Tanwar from abroad. According to officials, Anmol is accused of using phone numbers from Zimbabwe and Kenya to make threatening calls to Tanwar from America and Canada.</p>

<p>However, a day after the NC&#8217;s victory was confirmed, Chief Minister Omar Abdullah said, &#8220;It would be foolish to expect those who snatched it to restore Article 370.&#8221; However, Abdullah emphasized that NC&#8217;s stance on this issue would not change.</p>



<p>He told reporters, &#8220;We never said we would be silent on Article 370 or it&#8217;s not an issue for us…&#8221; &#8220;We will continue to talk about it and expect that the government will change (and) a new system will come, with which we can discuss and achieve something for Jammu-Kashmir.&#8221;</p>


<p> On Monday morning, the newly elected Jammu-Kashmir Assembly witnessed chaos. In the first meeting after six years, a proposal was presented by PDP MLA Waheed ur Rehman Para against the abolition of Article 370 in August 2019. BJP MLAs opposed the proposal, while National Conference President Rahim Rathore said that they had not accepted any such proposal yet. The BJP-led central government had abolished Article 370 five years ago, which was strongly opposed by political parties and leaders in the Kashmir Valley. </p>

<p>The Election Commission has postponed by-elections in Uttar Pradesh, Kerala and Punjab to November 20 from November 13.</p>



<p>The decision comes after requests from national and state parties, including INC, BJP, BSP, and RLD, to avoid low voter turnout. National and state parties had requested the EC to shift the dates in these states due to various festivities.</p>



<p>As per Congress, a significant portion of the electorate in the 56-Palakkad AC in Kerala will be engaged in the &#8220;Kalpathi Rastholsavam&#8221; festival to be celebrated from 13th to 15th November 2024.</p>



<p>As per BJP, BSP and RLD in Uttar Pradesh, people travel three to four days ahead to celebrate Kartik Purnima.</p>



<p>As per request from Congress, in Punjab, the 555th Prakash Parv of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji is to be celebrated on November 15, and an Akhand Path is to be organised from November 13, onwards.</p>



<p>Notably, the Commission had rescheduled the polling dates in past elections for the convenience of voters and to enhance their participation.</p>



<p>In the Punjab State Elections 2022, the polling day was shifted due to the Shri Guru Ravidas Ji Jayanti celebration. Similarly in Manipur Assembly Elections 2022, the date of the poll was changed for both phases due to the first phase falling on Sunday.</p>



<p>In the Uttar Pradesh Assembly Elections 2012, the polling day was changed due to Barawafat; in Mizoram Assembly Elections 2013, the polling and counting date was also changed due to social gatherings and Sunday and in Rajasthan Elections 2023, the poll date changed due to Devuthan Ekadashi and recently in Haryana due to Asoj Amavasya.</p>



<p>One assembly constituency in Kerala, four constituencies in Punjab and nine constituencies in Uttar Pradesh will now go to polls on November 20. The date of Counting and Completion of the Poll of these ACs shall remain unchanged i.e. November 23 and 25, respectively. </p>

<p>In Delhi, a shocking and disturbing case has come to light. Here, 56 shocking objects were removed from the stomach of a 15-year-old boy, but unfortunately, the boy died after the surgery. According to the information, the doctors at Safdarjung Hospital removed clock batteries, blades, nails, and other metal objects from his body, but the boy died a day later.</p>



<p>The father of the boy, a resident of Hathras, and the medical representative, Sanchit Sharma, shared the information about the incident, saying that after removing these objects, their only son Aditya Sharma died. Aditya was a 9th-grade student, and his death has brought immense sorrow to the family. They told that Aditya died a day after the surgery at Safdarjung Hospital.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Treatment continued in Jaipur</h2>



<p>Sanchit Sharma said that Aditya underwent multiple medical tests in various hospitals in Uttar Pradesh, Jaipur, and Delhi, which confirmed the presence of 56 objects in his stomach. Talking about how the problem was detected, the family said that Aditya was initially taken to a local hospital in Hathras with complaints of stomach pain and difficulty breathing. After medical advice, he was taken to a hospital in Jaipur, where he was treated for a short time and then discharged. However, his symptoms reappeared.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Surgery was first done in Jaipur</h2>



<p>From Jaipur, the family took Aditya to a hospital in Aligarh, where surgery was performed to reduce his breathing difficulties. The family said that on October 26, an ultrasound scan revealed the presence of around 19 objects in Aditya&#8217;s body, after which the doctors referred him to a more advanced facility in Noida. In Noida, another scan revealed 56 metal pieces, and he was then shifted to Safdarjung Hospital in Delhi, where the surgery took place on October 27, according to the family.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Doctors are also shocked</h2>



<p>The grieving father emphasized that the doctors had made every possible effort to save Aditya, but fate had something else in store. Sanchit said, &#8220;At Delhi&#8217;s hospital, my son died a day after the surgery, as his heart rate increased, and his blood pressure dropped significantly.&#8221; He further said, &#8220;The doctors told us that during the surgery at Delhi&#8217;s hospital, around 56 objects were removed from my son&#8217;s body. Later, three more objects were removed, which left the doctors shocked, who admitted that they were surprised by the medical possibility of this.&#8221; Sanchit also said that Aditya&#8217;s case had shocked the doctors, as there were no signs of injury or trauma to his mouth or throat, which would have indicated that he had swallowed these objects intentionally or unintentionally.</p>
