
<p>The Indian Government runs many schemes for its citizens, and the benefits of these schemes reach millions of people. Most of the government&#8217;s schemes are for the poor and needy. Even today, many people in India cannot afford two meals a day. For such people, the Indian Government provides ration card facilities so that they can arrange for their ration.</p>



<p>The Indian Government has informed that all ration card holders must complete their e-KYC. If the e-KYC is not updated, two things will be stopped for the cardholders. According to the rules, if a cardholder does not update their e-KYC, they will not get rice and sugar.</p>



<p>The deadline for completing the e-KYC of ration card has been extended. But now the holders do not have much time. The last date for e-KYC was initially set as 31 September 2024, which was later extended by one month to 30 November 2024. Now the deadline has been extended again to 31 December 2024. This means that ration card holders have about 41 days left. If they do not complete their e-KYC by 31 December, they will not get rice and sugar, and their name may also be removed from the ration card.</p>



<p>To complete the e-KYC, ration card holders will have to visit their nearest ration shop. There, they will have to verify their identity by giving their thumbprint on the POS machine. After this, their e-KYC process will be completed.</p>

<p>Pakistan is seeking an additional USD 2 billion from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) to tackle the devastating impacts of climate change, as per a report in ARY News.</p>



<p>Pakistan&#8217;s Finance Minister, Muhammad Aurangzeb, is set to request additional funds from the IMF during the annual IMF meetings scheduled for later this month, according to the news outlet that cited sources.</p>



<p>Notably, the IMF and World Bank Group&#8217;s 2024 Annual Meetings will kick off on October 21 and wrap up on October 26 in Washington, DC. The main ministerial sessions will take centre stage from October 22 to 25.</p>



<p>Aurangzeb will lead a delegation that includes the finance secretary, economic affairs secretary, State Bank of Pakistan governor, and other key officials from the financial sector.<br>Earlier, the IMF had raised concerns over Pakistan&#8217;s ability to repay its external debt, labelling it as &#8220;fragile,&#8221; Geo News reported.</p>



<p>According to the IMF, Pakistan&#8217;s external financing requirements are projected to reach USD 62.6 billion over the next three years under the Extended Fund Facility (EFF) program. This amount is expected to further increase to USD 110.5 billion over five years, from 2024-2025 to 2028-2029.</p>



<p>Pakistan&#8217;s external funding needs are estimated to be USD 18.813 billion for the current fiscal year, increasing to USD 20.088 billion in 2025-2026 and USD 23.714 billion in 2026-2027. Even after the three-year program concludes, finance demands will remain high, with USD 24.625 billion required in 2027-2028 and USD 23.235 billion in 2028-2029.</p>



<p>The IMF had also issued a warning, saying that Pakistan&#8217;s ability to repay debts is subject to &#8220;major risks&#8221; and &#8220;heavily hinges on&#8221; the implementation of policy and timely external financing.<br>With purchases related to the request, the Fund&#8217;s exposure would reach Special Drawing Rights (SDR) 6,816 million (336 per cent of quota) by September 2024.</p>



<p>&#8220;Exceptionally high risks notably from high public debt and gross financing needs, low gross reserves and sociopolitical factors could jeopardise policy implementation and erode repayment capacity and debt sustainability,&#8221; it added.</p>



<p>Earlier on September 25, the Executive Board of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) authorised Pakistan&#8217;s 37-month Extended Fund Facility (EFF) agreement, which is valued at around USD 7 billion. </p>

<p>Jammu and Kashmir&#8217;s Ganderbal witnessed a terrorist attack in which three people from Bihar lost their lives. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar expressed condolences and announced a compensation of two lakh rupees to the families of the deceased from the Chief Minister&#8217;s Relief Fund. The Chief Minister&#8217;s Office issued a statement in this regard.</p>



<p>Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has expressed deep condolences over the death of three labourers from Bihar in the terrorist attack in Jammu and Kashmir&#8217;s Ganderbal. This incident is extremely sad and I am deeply saddened by it. The Chief Minister has announced a compensation of two lakh rupees each to the next of kin of the deceased from the Chief Minister&#8217;s Relief Fund. Additionally, instructions have been given to the Labor Resources Department and the Social Welfare Department to provide other benefits as per the rules.</p>



<p>The Chief Minister has also prayed to God to give strength to the families of the deceased to bear this difficult time. The Chief Minister has instructed the Commissioner, New Delhi, to establish necessary coordination with the Jammu and Kashmir government to bring the bodies of the deceased to Bihar.</p>



<p>Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary has also condemned the terrorist attack in Ganderbal. He wrote on social media, &#8220;The news of the death of many civilians, including labourers from Bihar, in the terrorist attack in Jammu and Kashmir&#8217;s Ganderbal is extremely painful. Such cowardly attacks cannot be tolerated in any situation. Those who are involved in terrorism should know that such inhuman acts cannot break India&#8217;s unity. My heartfelt condolences are with the families of the deceased and I pray to God to give them strength.&#8221;</p>



<p>It is worth noting that seven people, including a doctor, were killed by terrorists in Ganderbal district&#8217;s Gagan Gir area on Sunday night. Three labourers from Bihar were among those killed, who have been identified as Fahiman Nasir (Safety Manager), Mohammad Hanif, and Kaleem. Five labourers were also injured in the attack. The National Investigation Agency (NIA) will now investigate the Ganderbal terrorist attack.</p>

<p>Union Minister Manohar Lal Khattar inspected the Anand Vihar RRTS station today. He interacted with officials and employees and boosted their morale. He also reviewed the modern facilities and technology at the station. During this, he provided detailed information about the project. He said, &#8220;Our city&#8217;s transportation system has been playing a crucial role for almost 20 years. But this RRTS service has just started in one part. Work is progressing rapidly at Sarai Kale Khan. It will soon start on the second route as well. This service will gain momentum soon. After that, it will connect multiple cities. So, people coming from far-off places will also be able to use it. The RRTS service will cover a distance of around 50 to 100 kilometres.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">To be operational by December</h2>



<p>Khattar said that the first project is from Sarai Kale Khan to Meerut Modinagar. Work is underway on it. He said, &#8220;Some part of it has been completed. Today, I inspected the railway station, our RRTS metro station, which is being built, has incorporated many new technologies to facilitate passengers and increase efficiency. It has become a very good model. I think once it is completed, people will get its full benefit. We will complete it up to Sarai Kale Khan by next year. People will get full facilities.&#8221; He said, &#8220;We will start operating it by December this year. It is currently in the trial phase. Two new railway stations, New Ashok Vihar and Anand Vihar, are also being built. The work from Meerut to Sahibabad has been completed.&#8221;</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Rapid Metro to reach Rajasthan as well</h2>



<p>About the status of two more projects up to Panipat and the Rajasthan border, he said, &#8220;Some formalities are pending, which will be completed within a month. After that, all pending processes will be completed, and it will be operational next year. Some facilities have also been increased in the metro, and the biggest difference is that there will be a station every 1.5 to 2 kilometres in the metro.&#8221; He said, &#8220;A short-distance passenger will travel by metro, while a long-distance passenger will travel by RRTS. The average speed of RRTS will be around 100 kilometres per hour. The maximum speed from one station to another will be up to 150 kilometres per hour. But the average speed of all stations and all phases will be around 100 kilometres per hour, whereas the average speed of the metro is only 30 kilometres per hour. There will be a big difference between metro and RRTS.&#8221;</p>

<p>The Chandrayaan-4 mission will test the docking technology and two spacecraft (ISRO Chandrayaan-4) will join the Earth&#8217;s orbit at a speed of 28,800 km per hour. The Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) is preparing to test the automatic docking technology (Space Docking) to complete several ambitious space programs in the next decade. This technology is necessary for the construction of space stations, sending humans or cargo missions, and future space exploration programs. This technology is also essential for the Chandrayaan-4 mission, which will bring back samples from the moon.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Spadex Mission</h2>



<p>To achieve this technology, ISRO is preparing to launch the Spadex mission in December. Under this mission, two satellites will be launched together in one rocket. One satellite will be the chaser and the other will be the target. After being established in the Earth&#8217;s orbit, both spacecraft will be connected. Then they will be separated and some other experiments will be conducted. The connection and disconnection of the two spacecraft in the Earth&#8217;s orbit is the docking technology.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">ISRO hands over spacecraft</h2>



<p>Both spacecraft will approach each other at a speed of approximately 8 km per second (28,800 km per hour). The integration of both spacecraft has been done by a private aerospace and defense company, Anant Technologies, in Hyderabad. The company has handed over both spacecraft to ISRO. They weigh around 400 kg each. ISRO plans to launch them in December using the PSLV rocket.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Essential for space missions</h2>



<p>ISRO has set a target to establish the first unit of the Indian space station by 2028 and a fully operational space station by 2035. The construction of the space station will involve connecting several units (spacecraft), which will be done through docking. The Chandrayaan-4 mission will also use this technology several times.</p>

<p>कुछ इसी तरह के माहौल में महिलाओं ने श्रद्धा, समर्पण व विश्वास का पर्व करवा चौथ मनाया। महिलाओं ने निर्जल-निराहार रहकर व्रत रखा। दिनभर भूखे-प्यासे रहकर रात को चन्द्रमा को अर्घ्य अर्पित किया व सुहाग के अमरत्व की कामना की। पति के हाथों पानी पीकर व्रत खोला। बाद में पतियों ने उपहार दिए। इससे पहले महिलाएं दिनचर्या के कामकाज निपटाकर पर्व की तैयारियों में जुट गई। शाम को चन्द्रोदय से पहले सारी तैयारी कर पूजन शुरू किया। कहीं परिवार के साथ तो कहीं आसपड़ौस की महिलाओं के संग सामूहिक रूप से पूजन करती हुई नजर आई। छलनी की ओट से चांद को देख अर्घ्य अर्पित कर पति के हाथों पानी पीकर व्रत खोला।</p>

<p>करवा चौथ के दिन सुहागिन महिलाओं ने व्रत रखा। मां पार्वती एवं भगवान महादेव से अपने पति के दीर्घायु एवं सुखी दाम्पत्य जीवन की मंगल कामना की। रात्रि में चंद्रोदय के बाद सभी व्रतधारी महिलाएं चंद्रदेव के दर्शन और बाद में अर्घ्य अर्पित कर व्रत खोला। </p>
