<p>कोटा. हाड़ौती अंचल में कोहरा व शीतलहर के कारण सर्दी का जोर बढ़ता जा रहा है। मंगलवार अलसुबह कोहरा छाया रहा, जिससे दृश्यता काफी कम रही। सोमवार को दृश्यता 500 मीटर थी, जो मंगलवार को घटकर 400 मीटर रह गई। इससे वाहनों की आवाजाही पर असर पड़ा। लोगों को सुबह काम पर जाने में परेशानी हुई। उसके बाद कोहरा छंटा और मौसम खुला। तेज धूप खिली, लेकिन दिनभर शीतलहर का दौर जारी रहा। गलन महसूस होती रही। सर्द हवा के चलते लोग ऊनी कपड़ों में नजर आए। कचौरी व चाय की दुकानों पर भीड़ रही। शाम ढलने के बाद वापस गलन का असर बढ़ गया। लोगों ने हीटर व अलाव का सहारा लिया।</p>

<p>Rajpal Yadav, uncle of Akhilesh Yadav, former Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh and head of the Samajwadi Party, passed away this morning. He breathed his last at Medanta Hospital in Gurugram at 4 am. He had been unwell for a considerable period. His demise has cast a pall of gloom over the Yadav family and the Samajwadi Party.</p>

<p>Rajpal Yadav, brother of former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav, had been ailing for quite some time. He was admitted to Medanta Hospital in Gurugram, where he passed away this morning.</p>

<p>After hearing about his uncle&#8217;s death, Akhilesh Yadav cancelled all his programmes and left for Saifai. Shivpal Singh Yadav was already present in Etawah.</p>

<p>Rajpal Yadav&#8217;s last rites will be performed today in his ancestral village, Saifai. All members of the Yadav family and senior leaders of the Samajwadi Party will attend the funeral.</p>

<p><strong>Jaipur</strong>: A severe cold wave is set to hit the state for the next two days. According to meteorologists, a new western disturbance is expected to become active in the Himalayan foothills over the next 24 hours. This will lead to strong, icy winds sweeping across the plains of the state, with a possibility of rain accompanied by thunderstorms in some areas. Dense fog is also predicted in some parts of the northwest during mornings and evenings.</p>



<p><strong>Night-time temperatures below 5 degrees</strong><br>Seven districts in the state experienced freezing temperatures last night. The mercury dipped below 5 degrees Celsius in several areas, causing widespread discomfort. Fatehpur recorded 2.0°C, Sikar 4.0°C, Sangaria 4.3°C, Jalore 4.3°C, Churu 4.7°C, Dausa 4.7°C, Karauli 4.2°C, Anta Baran 4.9°C, Sirohi 4.4°C, and Mount Abu 5.2°C.</p>



<p><strong>Night-time temperatures below normal</strong><br>While temperatures fluctuated throughout the state last night, the icy winds that blew throughout the day caused a significant chill. Last night&#8217;s minimum temperatures were: Ajmer 7.0°C, Bhilwara 5.7°C, Vanasthali 6.3°C, Alwar 5.0°C, Jaipur 7.4°C, Kota 7.2°C, Chittorgarh 5.2°C, Dabok 5.2°C, Dholpur 6.5°C, Dungarpur 8.7°C, Pratapgarh 8.0°C, Barmer 9.8°C, Jaisalmer 10.0°C, Phalodi 10.6°C, Bikaner 9.5°C, and Sri Ganganagar 5.8°C.</p>

Fake call centers busted in MP: 130 youths detained in raids


<p>Raid on Call Centres: Ujjain police conducted raids on four advisory call centres, apprehending 130 young men and women, along with two operators. Six individuals were running the offices in partnership. These telecallers were defrauding people by opening demat accounts in their names under the guise of share investments. </p>



<p>Police arrested advisory operators Ajay Panwar and Shashi Malviya. Twelve others, including partners Chandan Bhadauria and Vinay Rathore, are absconding. Four police teams, in collaboration with the crime branch, raided Research Mart Limited (operating above Kuber Hotel), Stock Research and Bullish India, Money Magnet Research Limited (at A.K. Building Chowraha), Choice Broking Firm (in the Teen Batti area), and Angel One Limited (operating on Shankh Marg). All the accused were subsequently taken into custody.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">30% Commission</h2>



<p>Luring people with the promise of high profits in the share market, the telecallers used fraudulent apps to open demat accounts. These fraudulent accounts were managed to deceive investors, and in case of losses, the entire amount was appropriated. Even if investors used pre-existing demat accounts, a 30% commission was charged before investing in any share. This operation had been running in the city for a considerable time, surprisingly evading police attention until now.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">150 Mobiles, 25 Laptops</h2>



<p>Police seized 150 mobile phones, 25 laptops, fraudulent documents, Demat account details, and a list of investors&#8217; mobile numbers. No SEBI license was found on any of the accused. The police have also discovered evidence of transactions worth lakhs of rupees in the accounts.</p>

<p><strong>ICC Test Batsman Ranking:</strong> The International Cricket Council (ICC) released the latest Test bowler rankings on Wednesday. Indian vice-captain and fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah remains at the top. Bumrah took 32 wickets at an excellent average of 13.06, bowling 151.2 overs in the five-match Test series played against Australia. He remains at number 1 with 908 rating points. He has become the first Indian bowler to achieve 908 rating points.</p>



<p>In the rankings released last week, Bumrah achieved 907 rating points, surpassing the all-time Indian rating points record of veteran spinner Ravichandran Ashwin. Ashwin&#8217;s best rating was 904, which he achieved in December 2016. Apart from Bumrah, spinner Ravindra Jadeja is the other Indian bowler in the top 10. Jadeja is in 9th position with 745 rating points.</p>



<p>Fast bowler Scott Boland, who forced the Indian batsmen to kneel in the Sydney Test, has jumped 29 places to make it into the top 10. He is jointly ninth with Jadeja with 745 rating points. Boland took 10 wickets for 86 runs in the Sydney Test.</p>



<p>Australia&#8217;s captain Pat Cummins is in second place with a one-place gain. Cummins has 841 rating points. South Africa&#8217;s Kagiso Rabada also gained one place and is in third place with 837 rating points. Australian fast bowler Josh Hazlewood has lost two places and is in fourth rank with 835 rating points. South Africa&#8217;s Marco Jansen is in fifth place with 785 rating points.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">New Congress Headquarters to Feature Modern Amenities</h2>



<p>Congress General Secretary K C Venugopal took to X (formerly Twitter) to announce the building&#8217;s inauguration ceremony. He stated that Indira Gandhi Bhawan is built to cater to the party&#8217;s and its leaders&#8217; evolving needs, featuring modern amenities to support administrative, organisational, and strategic activities.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">A Look at Previous Headquarters</h2>



<p>The Congress party&#8217;s journey as a political entity began on 28 December 1885. Since then, the party has had several headquarters. Initially, Anand Bhawan in Allahabad was designated as the party headquarters in 1931, which was later shifted to 7 Jantar Mantar Road, Delhi, after independence. In 1971, the party office moved to 5 Rajendra Prasad Road. After the Emergency in 1977, Indira Congress established a new headquarters in January 1978 at 24 Akbar Road. The Congress headquarters has remained at this location until today.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">400 Top Leaders Invited</h2>



<p>The release stated that around 400 top leaders have been invited to attend the ceremony, including Congress Working Committee (CWC) members, permanent and special invitees, Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) presidents, Congress Legislature Party (CLP) leaders, Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha MPs, AICC secretaries, joint secretaries and heads of departments and cells. Former chief ministers, PCC presidents, CLP leaders, Union ministers and AICC general secretaries are also among the prominent invitees.</p>

<p><strong>HMPV Virus:</strong> HMPV is considered more dangerous for children. This was revealed after a study following the confirmation of Human Metapneumovirus (HMPV) cases in two children suffering from bronchopneumonia in Karnataka. A report by the Cleveland Clinic states that young children and those over 65 are also at higher risk.</p>



<p>Commenting on this, the Indian Ministry of Health stated that it is a globally spreading virus. Its impact is more visible in people with weak immunity. It can also be fatal for young people.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Adults over 65 years of age are at risk</h2>



<p>While children are at risk of HMPV, it can also affect adults over 5 years of age. Those with weakened immune systems are also susceptible. The report says that when someone contracts HMPV for the first time, it can make them seriously ill. The report also states that young children and adults over 65 are more susceptible to serious respiratory symptoms such as bronchiolitis and pneumonia.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">The government is closely monitoring the situation: J.P. Nadda</h2>



<p>Following the emergence of Human Metapneumovirus cases in India, Union Health Minister J.P. Nadda stated that the government is closely monitoring the situation and there is no cause for concern. He further stated that HMPV is not a new virus. J.P. Nadda further stated that it was first identified in 2001 and is spreading worldwide. He explained that HMPV spreads through the air via respiration.</p>



<p>Nadda urged people of all age groups to remain vigilant, stating that it can affect people of any age. Health officials reported on Monday that two more children in Karnataka, one infant in Gujarat, and two children in Tamil Nadu have been found infected with HMPV.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Symptoms </h2>



<p>Symptoms similar to a cold appear within 3 to 6 days of exposure to HMPV infection. However, in severe cases, this virus can cause complications such as bronchitis or pneumonia. Common symptoms may include cough, fever, nasal congestion, and difficulty breathing.</p>
