Kumar&#8217;s appointment brings law enforcement expertise to the BCCI&#8217;s efforts to protect the integrity of cricket. It is expected that he will tackle corruption in Indian cricket, particularly match-fixing and betting, and maintain the integrity of the game.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Who is ACU Chief Sharad Kumar</h2>



<p>68-year-old Sharad Kumar is from Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh, and is a 1979 batch IPS officer from the Haryana cadre. He led the National Investigation Agency (NIA), India&#8217;s top anti-terrorism organization, from 2013 to 2017, where he handled several high-profile terrorism cases, including the Pathankot airbase attack. During his tenure at the NIA, he strengthened the agency&#8217;s capabilities in combating terrorism and disrupting terrorist financing networks.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Twice Received the President&#8217;s Police Medal</h2>



<p>Besides his role at the NIA, Sharad Kumar served as the Vigilance Commissioner at the Central Vigilance Commission from 2018 to 2020. He also held the interim post of Central Vigilance Commissioner. His law enforcement career has been recognized with prestigious awards, including the President&#8217;s Police Medal for Meritorious Service in 1996 and the President&#8217;s Police Medal for Distinguished Service in 2004.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Will Replace KK Mishra</h2>



<p>Sharad Kumar&#8217;s appointment was officially announced on September 29 during the BCCI&#8217;s annual general meeting, and he took charge on October 1. His appointment is for a three-year term, replacing KK Mishra, another former IPS officer from the Haryana cadre. As the ACU chief, he will tackle corruption in Indian cricket, particularly match-fixing and betting, in his new role.</p>

Since the tourists had to go on a safari in the morning, the gate was opened at the request of the tourists, but it was closed again in the evening.</p>

<p>In India, Teacher&#8217;s Day is celebrated on September 5. This day marks the birth anniversary of India&#8217;s former President and a great teacher, Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan. In his honor, Teacher&#8217;s Day is celebrated across the country on September 5. But do you know that Teacher&#8217;s Day is also celebrated at the global level? Every year, October 5 is celebrated as World Teacher&#8217;s Day. This is primarily celebrated to recognize and honor teachers, researchers, and professors at the global level.</p>

<p>In the beginning, there was no special day like World Teacher&#8217;s Day. In fact, in 1966, the International Labour Organization (ILO) and UNESCO recommended a draft on the status of teachers. But it was much later, in 1994, that a department was established to focus on teachers&#8217; rights, responsibilities, training, and employment. This department works on points related to teachers&#8217; rights and responsibilities.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">World Teacher&#8217;s Day 2024: A different theme every year</h2>



<p>World Teacher&#8217;s Day is celebrated every year with a different theme. This year&#8217;s theme is to give importance to the voice of teachers: preparing a new social contract for education. In the past, themes have included inclusive education, digital education, teachers&#8217; rights, and the challenges of teaching during the COVID-19 pandemic. This year, it is being celebrated with a different theme. World Teacher&#8217;s Day is celebrated in almost 100 countries around the world.</p>

<p>Located at the southern tip of Tamil Nadu, on the Kanyakumari Cape, is the temple of Goddess Kanyakumari. The goddess is known as Kumari Amman here. According to legend, the spine of Goddess Sati fell here. Here, the worship of Goddess Bhagwati takes place, which is known by various names such as Kanya Devi, Kanya Kumari, and Bhadrakali across the world.</p>



<p>The temple, surrounded by strong stone walls, has a history of over 3000 years. The temple complex has other temples dedicated to Lord Surya Dev, Lord Ganesha, Lord Ayyappa, Goddess Bala Sundari, and Goddess Vijaya Sundari. The main entrance is through the north gate. The east gate remains closed most of the time and is only opened on special occasions.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Kanyakumari Shakti Peeth: The Natural Beauty is Also Amazing</h2>



<p>The temple&#8217;s natural beauty is also a special feature, as it is situated at the confluence of three seas &#8211; the Bay of Bengal to the east, the Indian Ocean to the south, and the Arabian Sea to the west. This confluence makes it a major pilgrimage site. The Vivekananda Memorial is also located here along with the Kanya Kumari Temple.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Kanyakumari Shakti Peeth: Lord Parshuram Established the Idol</h2>



<p>According to mythological stories, Lord Parshuram established the idol of Goddess Kanya Kumari. The current temple was built by the Pandya rulers in the 8th century.</p>



<p>Legend has it that the demon Banasura had once imprisoned all the gods. According to the boon, Banasura could only be killed by a bachelor girl. Therefore, the gods prayed to Mother Bhagwati, and she took the form of a virgin girl.</p>



<p>In the meantime, Goddess Bhagwati, in her bachelor form, started performing penance to marry Lord Shiva. Naradji feared that if this marriage took place, Banasura&#8217;s killing would become impossible. Therefore, the gods played a trick and got Banasura killed. Since then, the goddess has been known as Kanyakumari.</p>



<p>Naradji and Lord Parshuram requested the goddess to stay on earth till the end of the Kalyug, which she accepted. Therefore, Lord Parshuram built this temple on the seashore and established the idol of Goddess Kanya Kumari.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Kanyakumari Shakti Peeth: The Mystery of the Temple</h2>



<p>The idol of the goddess is made of black stone. There are 11 sacred sites inside the temple. The inner complex has three Garbhagriha corridors and the main Navratri Mandap. However, it is not easy to understand or observe all these, as the temple&#8217;s architecture is like a maze. There is a well-called Mool-Gangatirtham in the complex.</p>

<p>Not all ministers can be included in every meeting. Therefore, a small group is formed, which is called the cabinet. Most meetings are attended only by cabinet ministers. Most of these meetings are held in Bhopal, the capital of Madhya Pradesh, but during the tenure of Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, it was decided to hold these meetings in different parts of Madhya Pradesh. On October 5, the Madhya Pradesh government&#8217;s cabinet meeting will be held in Singrampur, the capital of Rani Durgavati, which is located in Damoh district and is about 50 km from Jabalpur.</p>



<p>On October 5, Rani Durgavati&#8217;s 500th birth anniversary will be celebrated. On this occasion, the entire cabinet will visit her fort in Singrampur and pay homage to her statue. I believe that the purpose of this is to create awareness and respect among the common people towards their history, freedom fighters, and important personalities. When the cabinet meeting is held, the facilities of this place will also increase, and the common people will also develop a desire to visit these places, which will lead to their development. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav aims to hold cabinet meetings at all places that are historically and religiously important. By doing so, these places will develop into tourist destinations, which have been neglected for a long time.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Rani&#8217;s efficient administration will inspire ministers</h2>



<p>Rani&#8217;s efficient administration made the state so prosperous that people used to pay taxes on gold coins and elephants. Rani built many lakes, temples, monasteries, wells, and rest houses. She promoted education and knowledge, secured borders, strengthened forts, and herself led the army. She even sacrificed her life by killing herself with a dagger to avoid being captured by Akbar&#8217;s soldiers.</p>



<p>In 1983, the name of Jabalpur University was changed to Rani Durgavati University in her memory. In 1988, the Indian government issued a postage stamp in her honor. In 2018, the Indian Coast Guard launched a patrol vessel named ICGS Rani Durgavati in Visakhapatnam.</p>



<p>The place where Rani sacrificed her life is celebrated as Martyr&#8217;s Day on June 24 every year. Even today, Rani is remembered with respect in stories, songs, and poems. Her fort in Singrampur and Madan Mahal in Jabalpur need to be taken care of. The cabinet meetings being held at these places will increase people&#8217;s affection and respect for these places.</p>

Organizer Gopi Thakkar said that no iron or bamboo has been used in the puja pandal, and the entire structure has been made of wood. The idol of Durga has also been designed according to Rajasthan&#8217;s tradition. Shri Bhumi Sporting Puja Committee is led by Agnimitra Minister Sujit Bose. Committee member Divyendu Goswami said that people will appreciate their presentation, and there will be a record crowd this year.</p>

Last year, the committee created a replica of Kedarnath Temple, which was highly appreciated by the public. This year, they are building a replica of the White House, which will be the center of attention during the American election season. Meanwhile, Salt Lake&#8217;s BJ Block will showcase a glimpse of Thailand, with a 70-foot-tall Buddha idol inspired by the Big Buddha statue in Ang Thong Province.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Protest against RG Kar Medical College incident</h2>



<p>The &#8216;Lajja&#8217; titled puja pandal, set up by Shri Shri Saraswati and Kali Mata Mandir Parishad in the Kankurgachi area, has protested against the RG Kar Medical College incident. A spokesperson for the committee said that as soon as visitors enter the pandal, they will see the goddess covering her face, with a female corpse lying in front of her. The goddess&#8217;s lion has also been depicted with its head bowed in sorrow. A white robe and stethoscope (symbols of the medical profession) have been displayed next to the idol. The spokesperson said that this is a protest against the violence and attacks against women, from the Kamduni and Hanskhali incidents to the recent RG Kar tragedy. Our protest is against the cruel attack on our daughter&#8217;s doctor and the lack of justice in the case.</p>
