<p>The founder chairman of the institution, Rajaram Jain, has been performing Shradh for the peace of the departed souls of humans, animals, birds, and other creatures for many years. Through this, he is spreading the message of environmental conservation. The institution started the Shradh Shraddhanjali Mahotsav in 2000, and this year, they are celebrating its 25th anniversary. As part of the 16-day Shradh Tarpan Shraddhanjali Mahotsav, they are performing Shradh for different sections of society every day.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">So far, they have performed Shradh for</h2>



<p>Their Shradh and Tarpan include the peace of international humanitarians, departed souls who worked for the country&#8217;s development, all aquatic and aerial creatures, police personnel and officials who sacrificed their lives for the law, farmers who contributed to the country&#8217;s food security, soldiers who sacrificed their lives for the country&#8217;s borders, and freedom fighters who fought for independence. They also performed Shradh for the peace of departed scientists, unborn girls who were victims of female feticide, and those who lost their lives due to terrorism.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Upcoming events</h2>



<p>On September 27, they will perform Shradh for departed sportsmen, artists, and musicians. On September 28, they will perform Shradh for former rulers and royal families who worked for the country&#8217;s welfare. On September 29, they will perform Shradh for departed saints and seers. On September 30, they will perform Shradh for those who died due to unknown reasons, starvation, and natural disasters. On October 1, they will perform Shradh for those who died due to the coronavirus pandemic and other natural calamities.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">The purpose</h2>



<p>According to Karmanyogi, Shradh is our scripturally ordained tradition. Performing Shradh and Tarpan is essential for the peace of the departed souls. Many people are unable to perform Shradh due to various reasons. Keeping this in mind, they started this Mahotsav 25 years ago. The purpose is to promote reverence, conservation, and social welfare for all living beings and to inspire people to follow the path of dharma and sanskar.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">This year&#8217;s event</h2>



<p>This year, the Karmanyogi Seva Sansthan is organizing a 16-day Shradh Tarpan Shraddhanjali program for the peace of departed souls. The event will take place at the Guru Dham Colony, Rotenda Road, near Sogariya Railway Station, under the guidance of President Anil Kumar Sharma and the patronage of Govind Narayan Agrawal.</p>

<p>Armenia wants to upgrade its Sukhoi-30 fighter jets with the help of India&#8217;s Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL). Armenia currently has four Sukhoi-30 aircraft, but they lack air-to-air missiles, advanced radar systems, and avionics.</p>



<p>Recently, during the Tarang Shakthi exercise in Jodhpur, the Chief of Armenia Air Force, Colonel Hovhannes Vardanyan, expressed his desire for the upgrade. He held talks with CDS Anil Chauhan on the matter during the Defence Expo held at the Jodhpur Air Force Station on the last day of the exercise.</p>



<p>Notably, India has two squadrons of Sukhoi-30 MKI fighter jets stationed in Jodhpur, and Armenia compared the power of its Sukhoi-30 with that of the F-16 fighter jets of the US, Greece, and the UAE during the exercise. Armenia wants to upgrade its Sukhoi-30 fleet as well. However, there are some differences between Armenia&#8217;s Sukhoi-30 and India&#8217;s Sukhoi-30 MKI.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Four Sukhoi-30s were purchased, all considered white elephants</h2>



<p>Armenia purchased four Sukhoi-30 fighter jets from Russia in 2019, but they lacked air-to-air missiles and other weapons, making them ineffective. During the 2020 war with Azerbaijan, Armenia&#8217;s Sukhoi-30s remained grounded. After the conflict, Armenia purchased artillery guns, missiles, mortars, radar systems, and small arms from India. Armenia has also placed an order worth 155 million dollars with India&#8217;s Kalyani Strategic Systems for 155mm artillery guns. Additionally, Armenia has purchased the Pinaka rocket system.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">India has 260 Sukhoi-30s</h2>



<p>India has around 260 Sukhoi-30 MKI fighter jets. While 50 were directly imported from Russia, the remaining were manufactured in India by HAL under a transfer of technology (ToT) agreement. HAL is also upgrading India&#8217;s Sukhoi-30s, for which the Air Force has signed a 64,000 crore rupees deal. The upgraded aircraft will be equipped with advanced radar and weapons.</p>

<p>The district collector conducted a surprise inspection of private hospitals in Barmer district hospital on Thursday, following complaints of doctors providing services at their private clinics during duty hours. During the inspection, two doctors were found providing services at their private clinics, and orders have been issued to investigate them.</p>

<p>Collector Tina Dabi, along with administrative officials, inspected private hospitals in Nehru Nagar and other areas. During the inspection, pediatric specialist Dr. Mahendra Chaudhary was found providing services at his residence, and Dr. Ramesh Katariya was found providing services at his private clinic. Orders have been issued to investigate them, and the superintendent of the district hospital has been directed to take action.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Columns of signatures found blank</h2>



<p>During the inspection, it was found that many doctors&#8217; signature columns were blank in the attendance register of the government hospital. Taking this seriously, orders have been issued to submit an investigation report. <p>In the Haryana assembly elections, various parties have fielded their candidates on a large scale. The BJP has fielded its candidates on 89 out of 90 seats. The Congress has also fielded its candidates on 89 seats. The CPI(M) is contesting only one seat. The JJP-Aazad Samaj Party alliance is contesting 78 seats, with the JJP contesting 66 seats and the ASP getting 12 seats. The INLD has fielded its candidates on 51 seats, while its ally BSP has got 35 seats. The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has fielded its candidates on 88 seats. A total of 1,031 candidates are in the fray, including 101 women.</p>

<p>The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) said on Friday that they had launched a ground operation in southern Lebanon four days ago, destroying over 2,000 military targets and killing 250 Hezbollah terrorists. The IDF said that during the operation, five brigade-level commanders, 10 company commanders, and six platoon commanders were killed.</p>



<p>The Israeli Air Force (IAF) is also carrying out attacks in southern Lebanon.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Weapons Stockpiles Also Destroyed</h2>



<p>The IDF said, &#8220;The Division 98 troops were the first to start the ground operation at the beginning of the week. During the operation, the IAF targeted Hezbollah terrorists hiding in buildings and destroyed their weapons stockpiles, including launchers ready to be fired.&#8221;</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Attacks from Both Land and Air</h2>



<p>The IDF stated, &#8220;Our air force personnel are making our ground operation easier. So far, almost 250 terrorists have been eliminated from the air and land, and over 2,000 military targets, including terrorist infrastructure, military buildings, and ammunition depots, have been destroyed.&#8221;</p>

<p>In Kupwara, Jammu and Kashmir, security forces have killed two terrorists who were trying to infiltrate. Security forces have launched a search operation in the area. The joint search operation was launched by the Jammu and Kashmir Police and the Indian Army on Friday, October 4, 2024, after receiving intelligence about the infiltration of terrorists in the district. There was an exchange of fire between security forces and terrorists in the Kishtwar district of Jammu and Kashmir on Friday as well.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Two Soldiers Injured</h2>



<p>In Jammu and Kashmir&#8217;s Kupwara district, two soldiers were injured in a landmine blast near the Line of Control (LoC) on Friday. A team of soldiers from the Sikh Regiment was patrolling the LoC when the incident occurred. The two injured soldiers were admitted to the army hospital in Dragmulla.</p>

<p>The state government has reversed its decision to recover around 100 crore rupees from employees who withdrew money from the National Pension System (NPS). During the Gehlot government, these employees were warned that if they did not return the withdrawn amount, they would not be eligible for the Old Pension Scheme (OPS).</p>



<p>On Friday, the finance department issued an order providing relief to these employees. The order stated that the amount not returned by the employees would be adjusted at the time of retirement. These employees would be charged interest similar to the General Provident Fund (GPF).</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Withdrawal of 500 Crore Rupees</h2>



<p>It is noteworthy that around 90,000 police personnel and education department employees had withdrawn around 500 crore rupees from their NPS accounts after the implementation of the OPS, out of which around 400 crore rupees have been deposited back.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Government Revokes Old Decision</h2>



<p>The employees had filed a petition in the High Court challenging the government&#8217;s order to recover the amount, stating that they would not be eligible for the OPS if they did not return the withdrawn amount. The government had a proposal pending consideration, which was revoked on Friday. It is noteworthy that around 120 petitions are scheduled to be heard in the High Court on Monday.</p>

<p>The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) laboratory in Jodhpur has developed camouflage technology for the Army&#8217;s weapons and vehicles. This technology includes special paint and stickers. By applying coatings and stickers to large weapons like artillery guns, tanks, and missile systems, they will blend into the environment and become invisible. Enemy satellites, drones, and aircraft cameras will not be able to detect them. Instead, they will appear as decoy objects.</p>



<p>The Defence Laboratory conducted a successful test of this technology on a T-90 tank at the Pokhran Field Firing Range in Jaisalmer. A special algorithm-based coating and sticker were applied to the T-90 tank. This camouflage technology deceived high-resolution cameras and thermal and infrared sensors, making the tank appear as something else rather than a tank.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">5 types of stickers prepared</h2>



<p>The Defence Laboratory has prepared five military color shade multi-spectral camouflage stickers with the help of a special algorithm. These stickers come in shades of sand, foliage, brown, white, and other colors. These stickers are extremely effective in reducing the detection range of NIR and TIR sensors when applied to tanks or other Army equipment.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Will aid in military operations</h2>



<p>It is worth noting that enemy countries use satellites, aerial vehicles, and ground-based high-altitude cameras to detect the number and type of military weapons and gather accurate information about the opponent&#8217;s capabilities and situation. Satellite-mounted thermal and infrared cameras detect the signature of various objects. This technology will aid in military operations.</p>


<p> Jodhpur DRDO: The Defence Research and Development Laboratory (DRDO) in Jodhpur has developed camouflage technology, which was successfully tested on a T-90 tank in Jaisalmer. </p>
