In September 2024, Vaibhav Suryavanshi made history by scoring the fastest first-class century. He made his debut for the India Under-19 team in a youth Test match against Australia in Chennai. In this match, he scored a century in just 62 balls, although he got run out. During the match played at the Chepauk Stadium, Vaibhav completed his century in just 58 balls. At the age of 13 years and 188 days, he achieved this feat. This was the fastest century in Indian youth Test cricket and the second-fastest in the world.
