Earthquake Tremors Shake Delhi-NCR Twice in 24 Hours

Delhi-NCR experienced a second earthquake in less than 24 hours. Following tremors felt on Wednesday afternoon, the region was shaken again on Thursday morning. Both earthquakes originated in Sonipat, Haryana. Thursday&#8217;s earthquake measured 2.6 on the Richter scale, with mild tremors felt in parts of Delhi-NCR.

MT Vasudevan Nair Passes Away: Sad news has emerged from the entertainment world. Renowned director and writer, MT Vasudevan Nair, has passed away, leaving fans deeply shocked and in disbelief. He breathed his last on 25th December at the age of 91. Social media is flooded with tributes, with fans acknowledging his immense contribution to the industry and calling his passing a significant loss.



MT Vasudevan Nair, a prominent figure in Malayalam literature and cinema, had been unwell for some time. He suffered a heart attack on 15th December, which severely deteriorated his health and caused respiratory problems. He was admitted to a hospital in Kozhikode, where he passed away at 10 pm on 25th December. He was affectionately known as MT by his fans.

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">MT Vasudevan Nair Suffers Heart Attack</h2>



Hospital sources confirmed MT&#8217;s death to PTI, stating that a heart attack last week had severely worsened his condition, despite extensive efforts to save him. MT directed seven films and penned the stories for approximately 54 films throughout his career. Following his demise, the Kerala government, according to the CMO, has declared an official mourning period on 26th and 27th December. Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has instructed the postponement of all government programmes, including the cabinet meeting scheduled for 26th December, as a mark of respect.

AUS vs IND 4th Test: Kohli and Constas clash on Day 1: A clash occurred between India&#8217;s star batsman Virat Kohli and debutant Sam Konstas of Australia on the first day of the Melbourne Test. The incident happened during the 10th over when Kohli and Konstas collided on the pitch after the completion of the over. A brief verbal exchange followed, but it was quickly diffused by Usman Khawaja. Replays later showed that Konstas was walking towards the other end while Kohli, tossing the ball in his hand from outside the pitch, collided with him.

Konstas later told Channel Seven, &#8220;I didn&#8217;t see him. I was adjusting my gloves and then our shoulders bumped. But it happens in cricket.&#8221; Former Australian captain Ricky Ponting, during commentary, observed, &#8220;Look at how Virat is walking. Virat went to the right of the pitch and initiated this collision.&#8221; Speaking to Channel Seven, Simon Taufel deemed the incident inappropriate under the ICC Code of Conduct.



Taufel stated, &#8220;The long shot provided by the director clearly shows Virat Kohli changing his line and coming into Constas&#8217;s line. There is a provision in the ICC Code of Conduct relating to inappropriate physical behaviour. After the day&#8217;s play, it will have to be seen whether Kohli&#8217;s behaviour falls under this. I think the umpires and referees will be taking this matter seriously.&#8221;



The 19-year-old Konstas scored a half-century in just 52 balls on his Test debut. At the time of the collision with Kohli, he was on 27 runs off 38 balls. Playing some spectacular scoop and ramp shots off Jasprit Bumrah&#8217;s bowling, Konstas scored 60 runs off 65 balls, including six fours and two sixes. He was dismissed by Ravindra Jadeja before the lunch break.
