<p>Cybercrime cases are on the rise, and the government is making continuous efforts to prevent it. In a major step, the government has decided to block 6 lakh mobile phones. Apart from this, the Cyber Wing of the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has blocked 65,000 URLs involved in cyber fraud. Additionally, more than 800 applications involved in cyber fraud have been blocked. The I4C wing of the Home Ministry is taking new steps to prevent the growing scams.</p>



<p>According to the 2023 calculations, more than 1 lakh investment scams were reported on the National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal (NCRP). 17,000 FIRs have been registered. Between January 2024 and September 2024, 6,000 digital arrests, 20,043 trading scams, 62,687 investment scams, and 1,725 dating scams were reported.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">What is the &#8216;I4C Wing&#8217;?</h2>



<p>The I4C wing is a unit established to address all cybersecurity-related issues of the general public. It aims to improve coordination between various law enforcement agencies and stakeholders, enhance India&#8217;s overall capability to tackle cybercrime and improve citizen satisfaction levels. It was established on October 5, 2018, under the Central Sector Scheme of the Home Ministry&#8217;s Cyber and Information Security Division (CIS Division). This center monitors high-priority cases in coordination with the control rooms of all states.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">What steps have been taken to tackle fraud?</h2>



<p>Considering the rising cases of cybercrime across the country, the wing has established a national-level coordination center, assisting citizens in registering complaints of cybercrime. It is also helping law enforcement agencies to identify patterns and trends of cybercrime, identify fake digital platforms, and take action against them. The wing is making efforts to prevent cybercrime by issuing alerts on digital arrests.</p>

Soumya, who has been in jail for over a year and a half, had approached the Supreme Court after her bail plea was rejected by the High Court.</p>

The management had started open heart surgery by calling anesthetists, perfusionists, and physician assistants on a payment-per-case basis.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Contractual Assistant Professors Get Rs 1 Lakh Salary</h2>



<p>Recently, the monthly salary for contractual assistant professors has been fixed at Rs 1 lakh. Earlier, they were getting Rs 95,000 per month. There are two regular cardiothoracic and vascular surgeons at ACI. They are performing surgeries related to blood vessels and lungs. Although there is a heart-lung machine, the lack of necessary staff has prevented heart bypass surgery from starting.</p>

<p>Good news for students waiting for the notification of the 70th BPSC exam. The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has recently released the notification for the 70th BPSC Preliminary Exam 2024. The notification has been published on the official website of BPSC. Interested candidates can visit the website  www.bpsc.bih.nic.in to get the details. The application process will start on September 28. The last date to apply is October 18, as announced by the commission.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">BPSC Notification 2024: Essential Qualifications</h2>



<p>In this exam, the candidate must be a graduate of a university or institution. The minimum age for the post is 20, 21, or 22 years, and the maximum age is&#8230; Additionally, the maximum age for unreserved male candidates is 37 years, and for unreserved female candidates, it is 40 years. The age will be calculated as of August 1, 2024. General category candidates will have to pay an application fee of Rs 600, while SC, ST, and physically disabled candidates from Bihar will have to pay Rs 150.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Total 1957 Posts to be Filled</h2>



<p>Through this recruitment, the commission will fill a total of 1957 posts. Out of these, 1082 posts are for the general category, 315 posts for OBC, 427 posts for E-OBC, 59 posts for OBC women, 246 posts for EWS, 403 posts for SC, and 22 posts for ST. The BPSC CCE 70th Prelims Exam is likely to be held in November. The exam will consist of 150 questions, and candidates will be given two hours to complete it. Only those who pass this exam will be eligible to apply for the BPSC CCE 70th Mains Exam.</p>

<p>Identifying lupus is not easy. Most of its symptoms are similar to those of other diseases. Joint pain, muscle pain, chest pain, headache, fever, hair loss, mouth ulcers, constant fatigue, and a butterfly-shaped rash on the face are its main symptoms. If any symptom appears repeatedly or does not go away, it is essential to consult a doctor and get tested. Due to lupus, the risk of eye dryness, anemia, and heart or kidney disease also increases.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Causes of Lupus</h2>



<p>There is no specific cause of lupus. Some genetic mutations can increase the risk of developing lupus. Hormonal reactions, especially estrogen, pollution, smoking, excessive stress, and excessive sun exposure can also increase the risk of lupus. Women are more likely to develop lupus than men. If the mother or father has lupus, their children are also at risk of developing it.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">How to get relief</h2>



<p>Lupus is diagnosed through blood tests, biopsies, and other examinations. Treatment is determined based on the patient&#8217;s symptoms, which helps reduce the severity of the disease. Hydroxychloroquine, corticosteroids, and immunodepressant drugs are used to treat lupus. Along with this, treatment for high blood pressure, anemia, kidney-related problems, etc. is also provided based on the symptoms.</p>

<p>The National Anti-Doping Agency (NADA) has sent a notice to retired wrestler Vinesh Phogat for not providing her address. A team was sent to take her urine sample as she had missed the Paris Olympics medal due to her weight being 100 grams more than the limit, resulting in her disqualification.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Notice for Not Providing Address</h2>



<p>The notice states that on September 9, a doping control officer was sent to Vinesh&#8217;s residence in Sonipat, Haryana, but she was not available. NADA has termed this as a case of not providing the correct address.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">NADA&#8217;s Warning</h2>



<p>Vinesh, who created history by becoming the first Indian woman to qualify for the finals in the 50 kg category at the Paris Olympics, has been asked to respond to the notice within 14 days. NADA&#8217;s notice states, &#8220;You are hereby informed that you have failed to comply with the requirements of the whereabouts information. You are invited to provide any comments you may have on this matter before a final decision is made. Please read this letter carefully, as it may have serious consequences for you.&#8221;</p>



<p>In the formal notice, Vinesh Phogat has been informed that she was not available at her residence in Pratap Colony, Sonipat, on September 9 at 12:20 pm, as mentioned in her recent whereabouts filing. NADA&#8217;s notice states, &#8220;On that day, at that time and place, a doping control officer was sent to test you, but you were not available. The doping control officer&#8217;s failed attempt report is attached, which details the attempt made.&#8221;</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Part of the Registered Testing Pool since 2022</h2>



<p>According to the World Anti-Doping Agency&#8217;s rules, active athletes are part of the registered testing pool and are required to provide a specific time and place every month where they will be available for testing. Vinesh, who qualified for the Paris Olympics finals, has been part of the registered testing pool since March 2022 and was informed about being included in the list by NADA in January this year.</p>



<p>NADA&#8217;s letter states, &#8220;Please respond to this letter within 14 days and state whether you accept that you have failed to provide the correct whereabouts information or if you claim that you have not failed to provide the correct information. In the latter case, please explain the reasons for your claim.&#8221;</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Vinesh Phogat Violated the Rules</h2>



<p>Failing to provide the correct whereabouts information three times in 12 months is considered a violation of the anti-doping rules and can result in the same penalty as a positive doping test. In Vinesh Phogat&#8217;s case, NADA&#8217;s letter specifies that this is her first failure to provide the correct whereabouts information.</p>



<p>After her Olympic campaign ended, Vinesh Phogat announced her retirement from wrestling on social media. She then quit her job with the Railways and joined the Indian National Congress party, contesting the election from the Julana constituency.</p>
